This procedure also assigns responsibilities for those associated with these documents. ‘On Company projects, this document is intended to define the minimum inspection levels that shall be assigned for Contractor supplied materials and equipment as required by the Contract Schedule Q Applicable Documents: ‘The requirements contained in the following documents and forms apply, to the extent specified in this procedure. Saudi Aramco Engineering Procedures SAEP-103 Metric Units of Weights and Measures SABP-301 Mandatory Saudi Aramco Engineering Requirements SAEP-302 Instructions for Obtaining a Waiver of a Mandatory Saudi Aramco Engineering Requirements Other Document Contract Schedule Q Projects Quality Requirements Instructions on SA-175 Forms 3.1 Definition and Purpose SA-175 forms establish minimum inspection and testing requirements for procured inspectable material and equipment. They are written to cover material and equipment that are procured on a repetitive basis. SA-175 forms are attached to purchase requisitions, requests for quotation and purchase orders. SA-175 forms are contractual requirements that the vendor shall comply with, in terms of notifying Saudi Aramco Inspector to witness specific inspection and test points, and/or providing quality certificates for review and evaluation. The SA-175 forms, together with the purchase order and its technical attachments (SAMSSs, SAESs, Standard Drawings, and Data Sheets), form an integral package that can be used to procure material or equipment. Vendor shall comply with all PO requirements. Non compliance shall result in rejection. Deviations Deviations proposed by the supplier that result in material or equipment not ‘meeting the Mandatory Saudi Aramco Engineering Requirements (MSAERs), as defined in SAEP-301 and require waiver approval in accordance with SAEP-302 before issuance of a Purchase Order. For deviations identified after a Purchase Order is issued, the waiver approval is required prior to material or equipment shipment. New SA-175 Forms New SA-175 forms are created to cover inspection requirements for new Saudi ‘Aramco Material System Specifications (SAMSS), and for new inspectable ‘materials created in the system if there is no applicable existing SA-175 form. Revision of SA-175 Forms Proposals for changing existing coded SA-175 forms shall be sent to the SA-175, Coordinator. SA-175 forms occasionally require revision to reflect changes and modifications to the inspection requirements in the associated Saudi Aramco specifications (i.e., SAMSS, SAES), and Industry Standards. Any concerned person within the Saudi Aramco Organization and AOC and ‘ASC may suggest changes to SA-175 forms. SA-175 coordinator will determine ifthe changes are necessary and whether they conflict with the Saudi Aramco specifications (i.e., SAMSS, SAES), and Industry Standards. Approval New SA-175 forms and subsequent revisions require approval of Superintendent of Vendor Inspection Division (VID). The SA-175 Coordinator is responsible to coordinate the review and approval process for the SA-175 forms. The SA-175 Coordinator is an individual working with the Quality Assurance Unit (QAU), Vendor Inspection Division (VID) of the Inspection Department (ID). Prior to this, draft SA-175 form shall be circulated, for review and comments, to the concerned Responsible Standardization Agent (RSA) and inspection office (i.e., Quality Control Unit of VID, ASC-Houston, AOC-Leiden and AOC- Tokyo). Once the comments are gathered and finalized, the SA-175 Coordinator will route a final copy of the SA-175 form along with an agreement sheet for ignature / approval by the RSA, QAU Supervisor and VID Superintendent.
