Gng 52E 2016 winner – 547ECB

One of the highlighted events during the 47 th Brigade Founding Anniversary was the search
for Gng 52E 2016 which was participated with the ladies club of the seven(7) respective
battalions, Enlisted Women (EW) and civilian employees (CE) with the total of nine contestant
all in all.

The 547th Ladies Club representative to act as contestant for the Gng 52E 2016 is Melgen
Lapis Abonales the wife of Cpl Gary A Abonales (CE) PA of this unit. She is 30 years old with
child named Benedict. The Officers and Enlisted personnel with the Ladies Club jointly
convince her to be the contestant for Gng 52E 2016 representing the 547ECB.

Based on the criteria for judging, together the Ladies Club with Mrs Juvy Rota, the wife of LTC
ROTA find ways to address problems arises during preparations, but with the full support of
our Battalion Commander, LTC ANTONIO C ROTA JR CE (GSC) PA, everything going
smoothly. The contributing force led and a strong determination to win the crown the Gng 52E
2016. It starts with the sports attire as first exposure of each candidate during sport fest
parade. At the pageant night on 05 July 2016, it is heartbreaking moments to all spectators to
witness the big night to all candidates.
