Installation Instructions for EXERT 5.0.1.x

Notes:
a) This version does not require a new registration if you have a previously
registered EXERT.LOCK.
b) You may need to uninstall the previous version before installing the latest
version.

To install, please follow the following steps:

1. Download the installation package (usually in zip format) into your 'My
Documents' folder.
2. Unzip the installation package in a folder in your 'My Documents' folder.
You may unzip in a different folder provided it is not located deeply in your
directory structure.
Otherwize, the setup program may prompt you that it is unable to find the files.
3. If you have a previously installed EXERT.5.0.1.x, please uninstall following the
deinstallation
instructions below.
4. Close all active applications.
5. From the unzipped installation package, double-click the setup.exe to run the
installation.
6. Follow the installation instructions. It is recommended to follow the default
installation directory
for convenience.
7. If you have a previously registered EXERT.LOCK, copy back this file into your
installation directory.
Otherwise, you may need to register your copy for your to be able to use most of
the functions.
8. Before using Exert, please read the user guide.

Deinstallation Instructions for EXERT 5.0.1.x

If you need or requested to uninstall, please follow the following steps:

1. Copy your existing EXERT.LOCK to your 'My Documents' folder for the same to be
available for later use.
2. Close MS Excel application.
3. Start | Settings | Control Panel. Select Add/Remove Programs utility and select
EXERT and uninstall.
