Career Option_Govt. Jobs SSC/BANK PO Preparation in


Campus
Department of Career Development (DCD) has opened GRE as career option for all students of
Chandigarh University (CU).

1. Role of DCD:
1.1 DCD will ensure quality delivery of this coaching program in campus.
1.2 The experts from various repeated institutes will give the extensive Training of SSC/BANK PO
in DCD to the registered students with highly reasonable fees.
1.3 Periodic feedback will be taken from the students who register for this coaching program.
1.4 DCD will provide the entire infrastructure required to conduct this coaching program.

2. Scope of SSC/ BANK PO:


SSC CGL is prestigious examination conducted for various group B and group C jobs for
central government. Group B posts such as ITI, Central excise etc can promote you to Group
A (IRS) after few years of service.
The BANK PO job is considered as lucrative career option and a white collar job. Every year
lacs of aspirants contests for PO (Probationary office) exam. The job offers a high career
growth and prospects for a bright future in banking; many candidates want to know about
the responsibilities of an Bank PO. BANK PO post is entry level position; typically a Bank PO
undergoes a 2 year probation period of training and then gets the post of Assistant Manager
on joining a branch.
3. About SSC/BANK PO:
Every year, multiple exams are conducted for the recruitment of Bank PO, Bank Clerk &
Specialist Officers. Broadly, these exams can be classified into following Categories-
IBPS PO: It is a common exam conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)
for 20 PSU Banks for the recruitment of Probationary Officers.
IBPS Clerk: It is a common exam conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection
(IBPS) for 20 PSU Banks for the recruitment of Clerical Cadres.
IBPS Specialist Officers (IBPS SO): It is a common exam conducted by Institute of Banking
Personnel Selection (IBPS) for 20 PSU Banks for the recruitment of Specialist Officers like
Marketing Officer, IT Officer, HR Officer etc.
IBPS Regional Rural Bank Exam: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts a
common written exam for all the Regional Rural Banks of India (RRBs) for the posts of
Probationary Officer, Clerical and Specialist Officers.
SBI Probationary Officer: State Bank of India conducts its own exam for recruitment of
Probationary Officers.
RBI Grade B Exam: Reserve Bank of India recruits officers (Grade B) through an All India
exam. Through, there are very few jobs in this, but working with RBI has its own benefits and
future prospects.

SSC -STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION COMBINED GRADUATE LEVEL

Staff Selection Commission or SSC has been one of the most desirable organizations for Government
exams in India. It conducts Combined Graduate Level - SSC CGL exam every year for recruitment to
non-technical Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ non gazette posts in various Ministries/ Departments/
Organizations of the Government of India.

fee will be refunded or adjusted in the academic fees.
