The Plainfield South Choir Boosters are pleased to present the 2019 Senior Scholarship
Application. This year, the Choir Boosters Membership will award two (2) $500
scholarships!
The scholarships may be used for educational purposes at the college, junior college,
trade school of one’s choice. Monies will be disbursed directly to the institution
designated by the recipients.
Requirements:
All applications are intended to remain anonymous. Members of the Choir Booster
organization and/or the PSHS teaching staff (minus any Senior parents and minus the
Choir Director) will be selected to judge them individually for their merit, not based on
the identity of the writer. Please do not put your name on the submitted application.
Instead, you will receive an ID number which will identify your submission after the
winning applications are selected. Be sure that your application ID number appears in
the top, right hand corner of all submitted documents. Again DO NOT write your name,
past musical or madrigal roles anywhere on your submission.
Applications are due to Ms. Lanute no later than Friday, April 19th, 2019.
The questions/prompts on the following page are there to help guide you through your
essay. Please be mindful throughout your writing that this is to be a non-identifying
essay so it is very important that you not tell us any specific roles you held in Madrigals
or Musicals. We do however want to hear your personal experience and feelings
throughout your time with the PSHS Choral Program. Good luck to you all and again,
we couldn’t be more pleased as your Booster organization to have the ability to award
these scholarships.
