Variable Speed Drives:

Introduction:
Variable speed drives or inverters are used to control the speed of motors with synchronization. They
provide range of output frequency to the input of motor and its speed is controlled. Inverter can also be
controlled by PLC through programming. Inverters are installed in Production machines and WWTP.

PLC:
Introduction:
Programmable Logic Controller are used to logically control the functioning of machines. PLC
can have multiple modules and a suitable programming is given to PLC. PLC can take inputs
from either HMI or sensors. PLC process these signals and give output to output modules.
These modules then control the sequential functioning of the machine.
