THE OVER COMERS

Revelations chapter 2 & 3 offers the instructions to the 7 Assemblies in Asia Minor. Each message ends
with a promise to the one who follows the instructions being the will of the Father and His Son Jesus.
Different versions use different words such as Victorious, Conquers or Over Comes for one who achieves
the instructions of Jesus. I prefer the phrase “Over Comer” Conquers and Victors bring to mind the
physical sword, while the Over Comer is acquainted with the Sword of the Spirit!
Later the Beast and his mark is discussed being on the forehead and right hand. The remedy for the mark
of the beast is found in Exodus 13:8-11, where the instruction is given to teach your children the law of
the Lord so that is a mark between their eyes and upon their right hand. This is the thoughts and actions.
This is overcoming the self just as much as overcoming the society we live in. Including the actions of
others and their expectations of what might be called expectable common practice. Further it must be
noted that chapter 12 of Exodus is the Passover, being the first of 7 Holy Days of the Lord. The Holy
Days teach the plan of Salvation. The three principal Holy Days are Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles
which are a mirror of the New Testament concepts of Justification, Sanctification and Son-Ship
(Glorification) It is important to note that the most neglected by our churches today is the
Sanctification/Pentecost. Pentecost was the Wheat Harvest and the people were instructed to grind the
wheat and leaven it and let it rise to create large loaves of Wheat Bread. Leaven the lump which
represents Sin in the Body. Then to subject these loaves to extremely hot ovens to kill the leavening
effect. “Fire Kills Sin!” Afterwards to reduce the heat and bake a fine loaf of bread. This is the teaching of
being “Tried by Fire”, where the human heart is melted like gold and the impurities are dipped out.
Removing the Idols of the Heat.
The real issue with the Holy Days of the world system is that they take you away from the teaching of the
Law of our Lord and his redemptive process.
Noah had 3 birds he let out of the Ark, all being of the dove family. The first went out and came right
back as there was no place to land. The second went out and came back with an olive branch in its mouth
offering that the earth was beginning to dry. The 3rd bird went out into the world and never came back. So
Noah knew that the earth was dry.
Moses brought the people to the foot of Mt Sinai and the Spirit of the Lord came and spoke to them and
in fear they ran away, rejecting the Spirit. So the Spirit returned to God, like the 1st bird return to Noah in
the Ark. Jesus walked this earth and after His resurrection on the day of Pentecost the Spirit of the Lord
poured out to the disciples. The 33 AD symbol of Pentecost is a dove with and olive branch in it’s mouth.
2nd bird of Noah! We now are in expectation of the out pouring of the Holy Spirit in the fashion of the 3rd
bird of Noah, wherein it will remain in the earth forever.
The Seven Churches were 7 cities in Asia Minor with a New Testament Assembly in each. However, also
they are far reaching prophecies detailing 7 periods of time from 33 AD to 1993 AD. After the rejection
of Gods plan, Moses and the people wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. The New Testament mirror
is the Seven Churches. A Jubilee is 50 years with the 50th year be the rest year. This leaves 49 year time
cycles, when multiplied by 40 years you get 1960 years. When added to 33 AD you get 1993 AD as the
beginning of the era ushering in a New Age. Further this weekend I discovered that in 58 AD there was a
controversy between James the head of the Jerusalem Church and Paul when I added 1960 years to 58
AD, I got 2018. Never the less the letters to the Seven Churches fit well within the history of the New

A PDF copy of the book of Revelations accompanies this writing and I encourage you to read
these seven letters with particular attention to Philadelphia and Laodicea comparing them to the
periods of American History. With Laodicea beginning, say in 1913. Also notice that while
Philadelphia covers the era of those given an open door on July 4th 1776 who regarded the
message and established a nation pursuant to the Law of Nature and of Nature’s God. David was
the King and represents divine government. This letter reaches further into our day saying that
those who regard the message will be guarded in the time of trial upon all the world to test those
who dwell thereon.
Also note that both Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died on the same day being July 4th 1826,
which could be considered a double witness to Americas first Jubilee.
