Purpose The purpose of this method statement is to provide guideline to ensure that the water used in the hydro-testing of the storage tanks is disposed in a controlled manner to the approved disposal area. 2. Scope This method statement is intended to be applied for disposing the used hydro test water from ‘tank No. 9 (Mfr. Tank No. 277) in Qurayyat Power Plant Extension Ill Project. 3. Method a. A6" Steel Pipeline will be installed from Tank No. 9 to the open vacant area outside the premise of tank area. (Note: Please refer to Pipe Lay out shown in reference drawing SK- 1412-LA01). b. The pipeline will be equipped with pumps, gate valves and non-return valve. c. Where the pipeline crossed the access road, a plate ramp will be provided and flange type connection will be used for easy removal of the pipe incase necessary. d. After hydro-testing of Tank No. 9, the water will be drained through the pipeline step by step, approximately 2 meter shell height every other day. . Accordingly the draining of hydro-test water is estimated to be complete in 12 days. 4. Record a.
