Tutorial 2: Ethics April 2019

1. In groups of 2, search for and select an article that questions ethical

behaviour in the I.T. sector or any other business environment.

2. Identify the claim made in the article regarding ethical behaviour.

3. Identify one or more examples of evidence provided to substantiate the

claim.

4. Identify any counter-claims (rebuttals). If no counter-claims are

provided, provide one yourself.

5. Based on your understanding of ethics and Toulmin’s Model of

Argumentation (Critical Thinking, Prof Comm 2), qualify the claim made
in the article (how likely or probable is the conclusion/claim).

6. Read your article and present your answers in a 5 minute PowerPoint

presentation in the next ethics tutorial.
