Awareness Week activities! This year’s theme is...

#GetLoud about WHAT MENTAL HEALTH REALLY IS!
We ask that you please wear GREEN to promote good mental health!
Monday May 6th
CMHA Thompson will be driving around in our Mental Health Awareness Week Vehicle to local
businesses and organizations in the Thompson community to drop off our GREEN cupcakes made by
members of our Connections Clubhouse

Tuesday May 7th1:30 – 3:30pm

Our staff will be on hand for tie dyeing! The first 30 people who register will be given a free t-shirt! All
else, bring your own shirt and we will supply the dye and some refreshments. We will also have lawn
games and rocks to paint positive Mental Health slogans on which will be distributed to the
community.

Wednesday May 8th1:30 – 4:00pm

Hearing Voices Workshop is a Manitoba Schizophrenia Society workshop that is designed to help
people understand the lived experience of those who experience psychosis trying to carry out day to
day functioning while hearing distressing voices. A free of charge opportunity to learn about the
subjective experience of hearing voices which can be a distressing experience.

Please be advised that this workshop is very intense and can be disturbing. It is suggested that people who hear voices do not take
this workshop.

Thursday May 9th 1:00 – 3:00pm

Join us for a fun, friendly and free game of Dodge ball at the TRCC Gym.

Friday May 10th 11:30am – 1:30pm

Wrap up BBQ at CMHA Thompson Regional Office at 43 Fox Bay
Friday BBQ activities will include FREE food and refreshments, music and an open mic for anyone
who wishes to tell their personal story of mental illness, mental health or recovery, or for people who
wish to play a song!
*Microphone, amplifier and guitars will be on site for anyone to use
