1. Google Drive (https://www.google.

com/drive/)

2.

3. With this site the user is able to create word documents, spreadsheets,
presentations, tables, charts, and drawings. The content the user creates can easily be
organized into folders for quick access. The site saves work as you add to it, so the user
does not have to worry about their work getting deleted or lost. Because the site is
accessible through the internet it is accessible on any device that can be logged onto
Google Drive. One of the most helpful features of this site is the user’s ability to share
files and have multiple individuals editing them at one time.
4. The site is very user friendly and does not require any installation. The site Google
Drive is available to anyone online who creates an account with Google for free.
Clicking on “New” provides a drop down menu for the user to choose what format of
document they would like to begin. Each of the documents are similar to sites that users
are likely to have seen before like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. In each of
these formats there are buttons across the top screen that allow the user to edit the text
and format of their document while they can see their results down below. If multiple
users are working on the same document each user is able to see everyone’s edits in
real time.
5. This site provides students and teachers with many opportunities to be creative in the
educational setting. Teachers would be able to add multiple students to one document
so that they would be able to bring all their ideas together for the assignment. An
example of this would be students working together on a Google Draw document to
create diagrams or charts to better understand concepts. Each student would be able to
contribute their own ideas and other students would benefit by seeing their differing
perspectives. An example of this could be creating a Venn diagram comparing 2 novels
by the same authors using a venn diagram. Some students may see similarities in the
books, some students may state the way each novel is unique, and other students could
add graphics. All of the students would be able to quickly and easily express their ideas
in an organized way while the teacher could also be included in the document to ensure
students are staying on topic in their collaboration.
