This is a lesson highly centered on the Orff approach. I used only Orff pieces that I combined together. I organize my lessons by sing, move, and play.
This lesson will culminate in the playing the piece, while another group sings and performs movement. Students will then derive the rhythm for the piece
they have performed.
2.) Solo singing warmup game: passing game- Who has the eagle? 3.)
Students pass an object. Whoever it lands on sings a solo “I have the
eagle.” Teacher gives positive feedback on singing. Child in middle
guesses who the singer was.
Sing and Move: 10 (Volume 1 Orff 1.) Review singing game from last week.

Notes for next week: Have half of students play while other half
does singing and movement. Derive rhythm of text and write it down
together!
Conclusion 5 1.) Students mindfully reflect on day. They are asked to not speak and
close their eyes if they would like to. Students then show a “drop” or a
“drip” for their bucket.
