The Beatles

The Beatles have been one of the most famous rock band of the last century consisted of
members John Lennon (vocals and keyboard), Paul McCartney (vocals, bass and keyboards),
George Harrison (guitar), Ringo Starr (drums and vocals). It is difficult to define its genre as
during the decade that saw them protagonists, the Beatles suffered many evolutions that led
them to move towards different styles. When they were still known as the Quarry Men, their
style was a mixture of jazz, blues, folk and country, regarded as a kind of rock and roll "of the
beginning." For their launch on the music market and their subsequent debut in live
performances, in order to win a large number of potential users they chose to mitigate the
harshness of their rock resorting to sound more catchy; therefore they were oriented towards a
rock and roll mixed with pop elements. The popularity obtained by the Beatles gave birth to a
phenomenon called British Invasion (artists from the UK were very popular in the US, Australia
and Canada).

With aging, the Beatles honed compositional techniques and adopted a defined style baroque
pop to the use of classical musical instruments and stylistic models of the eighteenth century.
Finally , thanks to the music scene that it was stated in the United States, they veered towards
the psychedelic rock ( search for new sounds through the alteration of consciousness arising
from the use of psychedelic drugs such as cannabis , magic mushrooms , mescaline , LSD
and above ) , particularly with the album Revolver and Sgt . Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
, and composed some experimental songs of hard rock .
