Thesis Topic: OFW party-lists (Migrante International & OFW Family Club) affecting the

conduct of Philippine Foreign Policy

The main objective of this study is to identify how the currently existing political parties of
OFW Family Club and Migrante International affect the conduct of Philippine Foreign Policy. The
researchers have decided to give attention to the domestic political environment and how they
can affect the policy-making decision of the head of state within the confines of the international
arena. In this paper, the researchers have decided to give focus on the OFW party-lists and their
role in domestic politics since it will affect the welfare and interest of the Filipinos working abroad,
as they are considered to be the best representation in the Philippine government

The results of this thesis will primarily benefit the OFWs to better understand the role of
the partylist they are represented by when it comes to the decision-making of the President. It
would also serve as a basic understanding on how foreign policies are made, with having to
consider the situations of the Filipino citizens that are both inside and outside of the country. This
study can also serve as a good reference for future studies concerning the development of
Philippine Foreign Policy.
