In my experience at Origins High School I have grown in

curiosity, research, and problem formulation. I have grown in curiosity

because now I ask more and better questions about certain topics. For

example in my physics class back in 9th grade, I used to ask certain

questions. But I can't remember what they were. I even got a bracelet for

curiosity. Last year in my Earth science class I asked interesting questions

like “how often do spring and neap tides occur?” and so on. A lot of the

questions I asked were usually questions other people haven’t thought of.

But these questions helped me understand the topic more. Another

example of Curiosity is when in math(10th grade) My teacher told me that I

ask lot of questions to understand the topic more. However I thought my

questions were just basic questions to help figure out what to do to

complete the assignment but my teacher said otherwise. Another way I

have grown in Curiousity is my passion of coding, Usually I am very curious

about a curtain type of code because I always want to know what does this

do? or How does this work?. This allows me to really think about what I am

learning.

The first KCS I have grown in is Research. One of the ways I have

grown in Reseach is a paper I did in last year which we had to research

through a text to find information about tribes in Papua New Guinea and

how gender roles affected their societies. Another way I have grown in my

ability to research is a few months ago I had to write a English paper about

any product and whelther or not it contributed to an Ethical dilema. The

final way I have grown in research is in World Revolutions/Giobal History

where we had to do a project where we had to pick and research one of the

many social issues affecting the African Continent.

The final KCS I have grown in at my time at Origins High School is

Problem Forumation. One way I have grown is in Algebra 1 when we had

to do an assignment called a Scholors Challenge where we got a

complicated math problem and we had to try to solve it and show how we

solved it. This was really hard for me because I am not that good in Math,

However with some help from my teachers and really thinking about the

problem I managed to solve this diffcult math question. The final way I have

grown in Problem Forumlation is the Shark Tank project. The Shark Tank

project is a project we did in 11th grade for my Economics class where we

had to come up with a product, show what this product can do, conduct

how much the product what cost, the ingredients in said product and then

we had to present it in front on a series of judges who would decide

whelther or not they would invest into the product. This project shows

Problem Formulation because First we had to think of the product which

was kind of hard since sometimes its diffcult to come up with something

new and original. Once we were done we had to come up with a name for

our product which was the hardest part of our product since we wanted a

name that would go with the product.
