globalisation not accurate term, but “anthropocene”

the local doesnt function as a form of resistance

the local is itslef constituted by forces that are not local
border itself is in transition

changing notions of the borders , as something that has to be crossed over is now sth very weak
refugee crisis, the border itself its not clear where it is, where it is hapenning

we cant use familiar notions of the local for resistance, because it is something very unstable

familiar,
right wing political localism: Duplicitious
privatisation, promise of decentralisation

left wing political localism: ineffective?

economic localism: ignores structural, global issues

site specific art: complicit with global capitalism?

3) rethinking the local
