Deep Sea Configuration Suite Software Download and Installation Instructions

IMPORTANT! Before downloading software or connecting to a Deep Sea controller.

Check PC and PC USER requirements:

1) Must be logged into WINDOWS with a USER ACCOUNT that has ADMINISTRATIVE
PRIVELAGES prior to installing software.
2) Verify Windows Version: Requires Windows XP or later.
3) Run Windows Update – Insure PC has the latest drivers and operating system updates.
4) Do not connect controller until all software is completely installed.
5) The controller must be ON and in STOP MODE before making configuration changes.

Software access and download location:

Go to www.deepseaplc.com

Click Register in the upper right hand corner if not already registered.

Click Login on the home page of Deep Sea’s website.

Click Product Software link at the bottom of the page under the SUPPORT section.

Select your Controller model and click Submit

Software Installation:

Deep Sea Configuration Suite Installer link can be found on the Controller Product Page by clicking
on PC Software . EX. DSE-7310 MKII Product Page
 Installation Notes:

1. Microsoft .NET 4.0 Framework”: Most Windows PC’s already have this installed, either from
the factory or through Windows Updates. It’s required for Deep Sea Config Suite software to
work correctly. Check with your IT department or search the internet for “How to determine
.Net version” if you are in question.

2. DSE Configuration Suite Software Installer. (see picture above): Download and extract
the.zip file. Open the folder that the file was extracted to. Right click on the configuration-suite-
installer.exe file and click “Run as Administrator”. This helps insure you are installing with
admin privileges.

3. During installation: – click to “Allow” unsigned driver installation if prompted.**

**64 bit versions of Windows require digitally signed drivers. Generally clicking “Allow”
as stated above is sufficient. It is possible to disable that requirement temporarily to
help insure correct installation or if re-installing due to a problem installation.

The method varies by Windows version. Check with your IT department or search
Windows Help for “Disable Driver Signature Enforcement” if needed.

Click NEXT to Continue

Select Typical (only installs the common program features), Custom (allows the user to
customize installation) or Complete (installs all software packages) to start the installation.

Click Install to Begin
Enter your login information for the DSE Website. Click Ok to continue
Select the modules which are to be installed with the software. Click Update to continue.
 Click Finish to complete the installation.
