(Subject to be updated overtime with ideas if applicable).

Objectives:
1. To increase media and public exposure for CAAPA Music Scholarship Program
2. To increase number of CAAPA Music Scholarships by 5%
Increase by 5% of the money or the interest? That seems very small of this is interest.

Strategies & Tactics:

● Secure media coverage with local Washington, D.C. publications that relate to students and the
arts
○ Pitch CAAPA Music Scholarship to Prince George’s Suite Magazine editor
○ Pitch CAAPA Music Scholarship to Washington FAMILY Magazine editor
○ We could pitch this to some family blogs as well - unsure if cost would be associated
● Community Involvement ( draft a letter to the schools to increase awareness - no newsletter
management system available yet)
○ Send a newsletter to the local high schools in the Washington DC and Maryland area.
○ Contact community and recreational centers in the Washington, D.C. area, informing
community about CAAPA Music Scholarship
○ Include a poster size flyer to promote the scholarship allowing for local partners to print
and share.
● Social Media ( we don’t have ad budget at this time)
○ Facebook/Instagram Ads that appeal to both high school students and their parents
○ Interact with students and schools in the DMV area via Twitter (good idea)
○ Create a social media campaign that promotes CAAPA Music Scholarship
■ Post regularly on all social media platforms from Mar. 18 - Mar. 30 using a
specific hashtag
● What would the hashtag be #CAAPAScholar ?
■● Formatted
