Dear Hiring Manager,

Re: Electrical Engineering Technician

As a second-year electrical engineering student it would be a privilege to work for your organisation
so as to gain some practical hands on experience with circuitry. As seen by my previous works
throughout my course’s subjects, I have demonstrated a desire to interact with and test power
systems. In particular my electronic studies have given me a wide variety of circuit analytical skills.

As a planning and design company, Deltec is constantly called upon for the design and cost
management of power systems such as substations and other electrical networks. The ability to work
as a part of this group and to refine my electrical skills in a real-world atmosphere would be highly
rewarding. I would very muc like to improve upon my research and problem solving skills as a result
of analysing the effectiveness of systems versus real world limitations such as cost.

Throughout my course work I have studied a number of electrical techniques to use in real world
practices. Using my exemplary mathematical skills I am quite confident in working independently for
the purpose of analysing circuitry. I am also fluent in various computer languages including, but not
limited to, AVR Assembly and C.

Furthermore, my part time workload has also enabled me to improve upon my teamwork and
leadership skills as I am in charge of a small team from day to day to complete the required tasks
provided for me by my supervisors.

As a result of these skill sets that I have acquired over the years, I believe that I would be an optimal
choice as a part of your team. My communication skills as well as my proficiencies in electrical analyses
are surely able to fulfil any requirements you give to me. I hope to hear from you soon and talk more
in depth on the position.

Yours sincerely,
Sean Dugdale
