Insulation shall be provided for the following requirements:- i Heat retention ii) Personnel protection control iii) Prevention of heat absorption and surface condensation SCOPE Ductwork Insulation shall be applied to the following:- i) All supply ductwork. ii) All fresh air ductwork and plenums between inlet louvres and air handling units. ili) All return air ductwork. Pipework insulation shall be applied to the following:- ) Steam and condensate ii) Chilled Water Flow and Return iii) HWS Flow and Return iv) Boosted Water Service(Process Cold Water) v) Purified Water vi) Condense Recovery Technical Information in Tender ‘The contractor shall submit drawings or sketches for approval by the Engineer, showing his proposed method of insulation and cladding for: i) Top and bottom of vessels ji) _ Branches and manholes i) Machinery iv) Valves boxes and flanges, expansion joints, tees and bends Alternative or more economic recommendations shall, if necessary, be submitted for comment by the Engineer. The Vendor shall submit a list for the Engineers approval of the Proprietary Materials such as adhesive, vapour seals, masties, etc., that he proposes to use, The chloride content of the insulation shall be stated in the Tender. MATERIALS General The Contractor shail be responsible for the supply of all material required, including insulation, fixing and finishing materials. Materials shall be new and of the quality specified All materials used shall be asbestos free. Solvent based formulations shall not be used in poorly ventilated areas,
