Describe how you would incorporate an Online Project/Collaboration Site/Publishing Opportunity in your
classroom:
I will include the online project to the lesson – carbon footprint – where students must work in groups to
create a report that they will be researching on how much their families’ carbon footprint. What will happen
if they keep their lifestyle and what needs to be change. Students will work in a group where they will spend
time researching and creating a report in and outside of class were, they use online project tool to regulate
their activities.

What technologies would be required to implement this proposed learning activity in a classroom?
PowerPoint, online project, websites

Describe how the following features are addressed in this learning experience (note: all of them may not be
addressed in the project, but most should be if you are reaching a high LoTi Level).
a. Collaboration with peers, near-peers, mentors outside their classroom and often beyond their
school: Students will be working in groups, researching together how much carbon their families
produce each month / year and how it will affect their community as well as the planet

b. Student-centered learning and knowledge creation (creating original data and or producing original
products as a result of engaging in a project): Each of the student have to present their own finding of
their home’s carbon footprint, what are the possible out come if they keep on living the same
lifestyles. Are there any ways to improve or prevent from making the Earth worst?

c. Higher-order thinking: Students are creating a presentation from the research and finding from about
there home. Students will be required to recall from what they are finding in order to process the task.

d. Students publishing their original work to others who will use/care about their product: Students
will be presenting in class with another classmate. Also they can share their project to their parents
during open house with parents agree.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL):

Engagement: After understanding the unit, students will research their own carbon waste project to
understand the unit better. Students will be broken up into small teams, but not exceeding 4 people to a
team. Each team will pick at least one knighthood and use their research, data finding and explanation
from website to present their work. The team will use suggests websites and online project tools to help
their presentation.
Representation: Teams will create an online prestation on how mush carbon they produce and how will it
affect Earth in the long term.
Action and Expression: Students will use the given websites to start their research. Presenting the
project can be any form that the student(s) want it to be. Students will work half time in class and half out
of class. They will use online project tools at home to complete their tasks.
Lesson idea implementation and Internet Safety Policies: Having students create their own online project,
there will be a risk of the internet safety. This means students identity and their personal information may
be used by third party while searching for images or accessing data. The project will only use website that
are approved by the teacher, school which do not ask for student’s personal information. The use of
personal emails or information about the student will not be allowed. I will give the students a copy of the
internet safety rules and a list of different sources for them to use in their project.

Reflective Practice: In my opinion on this assignment, the main goal was have students understand notions
of how much resources do they need and how much resources do they actually are using, how is that a
problem to the world, and finally what are the out possible outcome to the world if we keep this up.
