I thought that with the students being on break this week, it would be more of a slow week for
me. This week had some highs and lows for me, definitely! I anticipated having the logo for the
dress closet for sure completed for the sake of being able to get my Thank You cards of to the
donors. I have come to the realization that I may just have to send them out with just the CIS
logo because all of my in person logo makers never got back with me. So I proceeded to make
one myself and purchase it from a vendor online, the icon that I chose has an inactive vendor so
despite the fact that I purchased the logo; the rights and final copy has yet to be released. Not
sure what to really do here seething how CIS doesn’t have funds to support small fees as such
that I acquire. I was able to get a really good deal on the logo so I feel stuck not knowing how to
move forward from here. On the upside of my week, I not only completed a Mock Interview
with the Career Center but I used that time to help prep me for an actual interview I had with
Reynolds Lake Oconee as a Camp Counselor. I did rather well with my Mock Interview, I didn’t
get that perfect score I was hoping for and I was told that I could speak more on myself and
experience versus seeing it as me bragging about myself. So for my interview with Reynolds I
was definitely prepared for when my interviewer asked me what some of my passions consisted
of and what all my duties as an intern with CIS consisted of. I almost felt like I was talking too

much and maybe a little too fast but during my offer I was asked if I wanted to go ahead and
extend my job classification past the summer, into a full time position because my employer was
so impressed with my interview. With my intentions to start the M.A.T program, I had to decline
the offer for full time at the time. Friday, I finally received word back from the teachers at Early
College, giving me a starting date to start my mentorship program this week, and to run for the
next 5-6 weeks after! 2 of those weeks will even run after I have graduated but I don’t mind
because this is a program that Early College wants to implement every year for the young ladies
and through their time with the Early College program. Aside from the Early College program
taking on HER’d, the middle school students are still just as excited about HER’d and are
looking forward to HER’d this upcoming Wednesday. I will not be facilitating the program at the
middle school because I will be the young ladies at Early College but I could not be more excited
about the progress that HER’d has made in such a short amount of time. I only hope that I am
offered a position that allows me to stay around to oversee more of the facilitation of the
program! *fingers crossed* Especially with there being so much more I would like to accomplish
in such a short amount of time, I would hate to feel like I left something incomplete.
