I am in your Professionalism in Criminal Justice class and I have a question about the final exam. I have
reviewed the syllabus, but it is not clear to me on what the final will consist of. I would like to know if the

For this assignment I decided to use an email that I had to write for my professionalism class last
semester. The email was to find out more information about the final for the class.The email was formal
throughout the whole message. I started off by greeting and I let him know which class I was in. I also
explained my confusion and even mentioned looking at the syllabus because that is usually the first thing
professors will tell you to look at before asking any questions. For my remixed piece of writing, I decided
to send it as a text because the format is completely opposite of an email. Students usually don’t text their
professors so I thought it would be a good remix. Emails are formal whereas texts are informal.
Throughout the whole text, I used no punctuation at all;it was just a long sentence throughout. I even
started off by saying “Yo”, which isn’t a proper greeting at all, especially for a professor. I also called him
“Mr” which was completely disrespectful because it didn’t acknowledge the fact that he is a Doctor. It
was as if I was texting a friend or something with my use of “idk” and constant use of “like”. The
audience for the email was specifically Dr. Exum, but the audience for the text could’ve been anyone
