s there any designated period considered the beginning of this political or Zionist
movement? Itis realy difficult to specify a year in which this historical movement is said
to have begun, However, itis possible to ascertain its beginning by looking at Theodore
lerzl’s period, considered to be the founder of modem Zionism, although, Zionism
historically is not related to Theodore Herzl, because this man’s role appeared at one point
in the history of Zionism after a few centuries, It is crucial to note here that there exist a
historical link between International Zionism and Intemational Freemasonry as Jewish
organizations and the question is which one appeared first? May be Freemasonry
historically and may be Zionism from the point of view of real works and activities
istorically, But, according to most historians, both movements may have existed at the
satne time with a similar aim, even though they carry different names, different modes of
means and activities. Never the less, according to some historians the history of Zionism
is divided into four stages as asserted by a Jewish historian aiff ABE N Asal in is history
for Zionist Movement, in which he says that if we thoroughly look at the history of Zionism
we shall realize that it is divided into four different stages;
