In the event that, due to adverse weather, the personnel from the Arwana are unable to transfer to the
accommodation barge Golek for extended periods of time the following contingency will take effect.
As part of the contingency plan a pre-arranged amount of foodstuffs and fresh water will be stored onboard the
Barge to facilitate the feeding of the personnel for an allocated amount of time. Refer to attachment 1 based on
80 pob for up to 2 days supply.
Arwana personnel will remain onboard the barge until such time as partial or normal transfer can be facilitated.
Catering personnel onboard the Arwana shall facilitate the preparation and distribution of meals to the personnel
remaining onboard.
EVACUATION PLAN
In the event that the adverse weather does not abate within a reasonable time frame, the Barge Superintendent,
in co-ordination with the Client representatives onboard shall decide whether to abandon the pipeline and move
the barge to sheltered waters or swing to another heading in order to reduce the wave effect on the barge. The
AHT Kenari will tow the Golek Barge and AHT Pacific Lion will tow the Arwana to sheltered area,
The method of evacuate the barge will subject to the weather condition. If AHT able to recover, bring it to the
barge and the barge crane able to pick up the anchors and put them on deck then, all anchors will be recovered
barge and towed away to sheltered area. In the event the weather is really rough and the AHT unable to along
side the barge, the heaving line will be threw to the AHT and pull the stretch line. The stretch line will then be
connected to the towing line and the barge ready to tow. The anchor wire will be paid out till last wrap, a marker
buoy will be attached to the wire and the wire will then be cut.
LOCATION CO-ORDINATES
The sheltered area shall be approximately 6-7 m water depth, east of Tj Bobos, northeast of Pamanukan. The
location is approximately 6o 12’ 00” S, 107o 52’ 30” E. Refer to attached chart.
Food and drinking water shall be pre-stored in sufficient quantities to facilitate the requirements of the remaining
personnel onboard. Once a week, a crew boat trip from Marunda to Uniform are will be made available for crew
change and food stuff delivery.
A water tanker will supply fresh water weekly. Vessel name will be confirmed after mobilization. A small fuel
tanker ARINDI will supply fuel whenever required.
In the event of an emergency scenario where a casualty needs to be transferred from either to Arwana or Golek
to a support vessel the following procedure shall come into effect:
The casualty shall be stabilized and made as comfortable as possible, by the medical officer onboard.
The stretcher team shall prepare the stretcher and transfer equipment.
Stretcher team shall transport the casualty to the boat landing area and secure the stretcher to the davit and
lowering apparatus in the inboard position and standby.
As soon as support vessel is properly secured alongside the stretcher team shall raise the stretcher on the davit,
using the man-riding electric winch, swing the davit out over the support vessel, lock the davit in position and
lower the casualty to the vessel deck.
Should the support vessel be unable to be secured alongside, due to weather, the vessel shall approach the boat
landing area stern first and hold position for the duration of the transfer.
The support vessel crew shall disconnect the securing link and move the casualty to a covered area and secure
the stretcher for the transit voyage.
Note*
Transfer davits with swinging arms shall be fabricated and installed on both Arwana and Golek barges to facilitate
the transfer of provisions and, in the event of an emergency, medivac casualties, prior to the mobilization of the
vessels to the work location.
