Report and Presentation

Marks: 15% (Report 10% + Presentation 5%)

Deadline Report: First Week in January 2019 (after Christmas break)

Deadline Presentation: Last week of Semester 1 2018 (before Christmas break)

Presentation to take place in lab class. You will be notified through Moodle when your presentation
will take place.

Submission:

1 report in Word, and a 10 minute PowerPoint presentation

Report Recommendations / Marking Scheme:

• History (when, who, why, revisions/status etc.) (10 Marks)

• How to apply the tool – steps (20 Marks)
• Uses in the DMAIC Cycle (where and why) (10 Marks)
• Advantages / Disadvantages (10 Marks)
• Recommendations for improvement (student opinion) (10 Marks)
• Two case studies (20 Marks)
• Report writing / format / references etc. (20 Marks)

Presentation Marking Scheme:

• Content (40 Marks)

• Slide Quality (20 Marks)
• Presentation Skills + Team Effort (30 + 10 Marks)

Work must be correctly referenced using the Harvard Referencing system.
