The Egyptian Egyptologists Publications of Dendera Temple Texts
Ayman Wahby Taher
The Temple of Dendera is considered one of the most preserved
temples of Ancient Egypt, it is full of important inscriptions explaining the majority of temple rituals and ceremonies, although due to the importance of the temple, lots of its inscriptions are still obscure due to lack of studies especially from the Egyptian Egyptologist, I present this paper to shed light on the activities of the Egyptian scholars in publishing and studying the temple texts, much of their work still unknown for the foreign scholars because it is written in Arabic, so I present this paper in English to clarify the work to the future students in the field of Greco– Roman texts publication.
Most of the studies included in my paper are very important and full of documented information about the development of Egyptian religion and ritual during that period.
The aim of my study is to encourage the universities and SCA to set
up a project for database by the Egyptian scholars in Arabic and English from their studies of Dendera Temple texts.
