Harmonic Rhythm

In 4/4 time, chords may change in the following rhythms:

In 6/8 time, chords may change in the following rhythms:

A chord on the first beat of a bar may extend, fully, into any number of following bars.

A chord on the first beat of a bar may extend, partially, into any number of following bars, unless the next chord is a cadence-chord.

Any chord, on any beat, may be delayed, or anticipated, by half a beat (e.g., a quaver, in 4/4/ time).
