 Hoistway preparative
All checks have to be done in accordance to the layout drawing!
1.Check hoistway for clearly indicated finished floor line markings and center line markings (by
contractor).
2.Check the distance between end supports, pit length, pit depth, rise and diagonals.
3.Check slab opening.
4.Check the beams or hooks placed for transport purposes.
5.Check dimensions and capacity of floor for horizontal transportation.

C: Whole escalator is installed our-door, Environment -10℃~+40℃，
Environment humidity<80 <80%
D: Whole escalator is installed our-door, Environment -25℃~+40℃，
Environment humidity<80
NOTE for situation B、 C、D：
1. Need drainage system ，
2. Pit depth add 250mm。

The Cable length which will be connected with Wiring Box (Prepared
by contractor) ：
 When upper machine room truss is standard（△L＝0), and the power wiring
come from left side of truss L＝3m。
 When upper machine room truss is standard（△L＝0), and the power wiring
come from right side of truss L＝1.5m。
 When upper machine room truss is un-standard（ △L≠ 0), and the power
wiring come from left side of truss L＝3m＋un-standard length。
 When upper machine room truss is un-standard（ △L≠ 0), and the power
wiring come from right side of truss L＝1.5m＋un-standard length。
NOTE:
1. Standing on lower machine room,
look towards upper machine room,
the right hand side is right, the left
hand side is left
2. Lay-out indicates whether there is
un-standard length of upper truss
or not。
3. △L is upper truss extend。

The Cable specification which will be connected with Wiring

Note
If customer selects the option functions such as truss heater, handrail
heater, handrail lighting and skirt lighting and so on, the cable standard
should be increased.

Adjust the truss to be horizontal after hoisted the truss.
Some escalator reduced the front plate, and the angle steel is at the
outside, so after hoisting, adjust to be horizontal. Otherwise, it can not be
adjusted after finished the floor finish.

 For facilitated truss leveling of
each landing, an engineer's level
has to be placed on a step.。
 Proper height alignment and
leveling to finish floor level by
turning the jackbolts up or down.
 After proper leveling, the
jackbolts have to be replaced by
shims as required.。
 In case of slight height
deviations of the finished floor level
the complete floor plate frame
(floor plate inclusive) can be

Tension carriage installation

Before starting the escalator,

adjust the length of the spring at
both sides of tension carriage,

 Chain Connection
To replace the complete chain can adopt the way of connection of the new chain and
the old chain. The machine draw the chains slowly. When the old one is disassembled,
the new one is assembled.

Lower angle steel

 Tension Carriage
1.Tension carriage is below lower landing. Its function is to tension the step chain through the
roller or slide block’s guide, holding the constant tension under two compression springs.
There is one safety switch on each side of the tension carriage. Once the carriage is
abnormal, the safety switch will be activated and escalator will be stopped.
2 . A special cutout that on the step roller returns is assigned to remove steps for maintenance
or replacement. 。

Attention!
Before starting the escalator, adjust the length of the spring at both sides of tension carriage,
according to the stuck tag. If no tension of the spring, there will be noise during the escalator
running.

 Glass Balustrade assembly

1.Place the plastic cushion to each joint 2.Orientation mark of the glass

Adjustment verticality of the glass panel. The

precision of verticality should be controlled within
2mm. If necessary, knock the holding with hammer.
The bolt should be screwed down on the both sides on
holding with spanner after adjustment. Screw down the
nut after installation the glass panel. The force
moment is 32～65N·M。

6. The upper and lower head supporter must not be raised up and low down during assembly

since the location mark has been made before delivery from the factory.

 Handrail Guide Rail Assembly
1. Before installing the handrail guide rail,
insert the rubble profile (aluminum guide rail) or single side glue tape (stainless steel guide rail)

3. After installing the 180 degree handrail guide rail, then install the lower R handrail, the incline section,
the upper R guide rail and the upper 180 degree handrail guide rail.

Note:
After installation, the height of the screw can't exceed the surface of the plastic sliding。
Use a joint plate to fix the Handrail guide and make sure the height difference between
two Handrail guide faces is less then 0.2mm。

4. Difference of all handrail guide rail’s joints between Outer edges and between heights of handrail guide rails
each need be less than 0.2MM.

5. After handrail guide rail, check and re-adjust the handrail to make sure the straightness within ±2 mm。

1.Place the single side glue tape or the rubber profile to the each joint of the handrail guide rail and the glas
2.Before escalator comes to use, clear the visible single side glue tape or the rubber profile

 Skirt Panel Assembly

1.The skirt panels have been assembled in factory. If the truss is in section, field need assemble the skirt
panel of the incline section.
2. The gap between the part C and the main roller is 2±1mm

1. After adjusting the skirt panel of the incline section, should ensure the connecting position smooth and
skirt panel clearance should less than 0.3mm. 。
2.Surface height difference between skirt panels ≤1.5mm。
3. The single side clearance between skirt panel and step should less than 4MM，both sides should less
than 7MM.

 Handrail Assembly

1.To protect the handrail belt from scratch, there must be protection during assembly. For example,
protect the handrail belt by paper, wooden board and other suitable material.
Then extend the handrail belt on the steps.

2. Assemble the handrail beggin with the upper circle section. After assembly of the upper circle section

drag the handrail downward to assemble the complete handrail on the handrail guide rail

3. When handrail is pressed to the handrail guide rail, the hook made from wooden and rubber can be used.。

The adjustment of handrail guide and handrail ：
1. The gap between guide device and the internal surface of handrail should be not

less than0.5 mm to prevent the internal surface of handrail from being destroyed

Adjustment of handrail and roller group：
1．Move the upper roller group to left or right or make small amount of rotation

to ensure there is not evident emboss on the bend of handrail.

Adjusting between the handrail and deflector sheave:

1.Move the deflector sheave to left or right to ensure the gap between the
deflector sheave and handrail is not less than 0.5mm; move the deflector
sheave up and down to ensure the gap between the deflector sheave and
handrail is inside 0.5mm~2mm.

Handrail drive force adjustment
Handrail drive force have a essential effect on the life time of related drive parts, too much
force make the friction parts wear out quickly, and the escalator does not work under too
small force. Adjust the spring according to requirement shown in the table below in the
installation phase.

After adjusting the spring length, should check all rollers of the handrail pressure chain
fully touch the handrail and make sure all rollers are running when the escalator is running

Tension standard:
After handrail up running 2~3 circles, the down distance should be 8～12mm
in the middle position of the guidance parts besides(1160 mm )

Deflection standard:
Look into the positions of handrail and friction wheel to sure the distance
between handrail lip and friction wheel is small than 2mm. The position of upper
roller bow already be adjusted and fixed in company. If the handrail running
deflection when escalator running, the upper roller bow must be adjusted by
professional.

If the handrail running deflection when escalator up running, adjust the nut at
upper roller group. Turn the globe washer to the reverse direction of deflection
and the handrail will run smoothly. After adjustment, screw downs the nut.

at lower roller group. Turn the globe washer to the reverse direction of deflection
and the handrail will run smoothly. After adjustment, screw downs the nut.

Using the Handrail

If handrail is not put into service temporary after installed and adjusted, so the
user must running 1～2 hours every week.

If the escalator is not in using temporary please release the spring

If handrail is not put into service long time, so handrail should be take down
and pack with black film. The curve radius of handrail is more than 300mm.
Handrail doesn’t place at the escalator being tension condition.

 Assembly of handrail entry and decking

1. Assemble the S-profile and the GAA72BT nut in position according to the figure below.

2. Insert the outer deck to S-profile as the figure below and use the M4 bolt to fix this
outer deck.

When the escalator using the sheet stainless shell it should add the S-profile.

3. According to the shirt panel at terminal to install inner decking. After finishing inner
decking installation then install the front panel. Install the outer decking at last and
it should be refer to the inner decking. The installation error should be less than
0.2mm.

Checking and adjusting the handrail entry after installation finished
1.Check the gaps between the handrail and cover, they shouldn’t be touched when
escalator in running.
2. Inner and outer decking should line to front panel and the gaps should less than
0.5mm
3.Check the gaps between the handrail and entry switch, if the gas less than 2mm.
Please rise the glass panel to solve the problem.

 Assembly of handrail entry and decking
decking installation:
1.Acoording to the skirt panel at terminal to install the outer decking down side
Then install the outer decking upside.
2. Using the XAA124G bolt to fix up the inner and outer decking.

3. Install the inner and outer decking as per the picture below.
4. The gap between inner and outer decking should not be wider than 0.3mm,
the height difference should not be over 0.3mm and the distance between
screw head and decking face should not be over 0.5mm.

NOTE：
Inner and outer decks are used to close and deck the escalator. So when install the decking,
you should not knock on it with hard object and make it transmogrification. Decking to decking
bonder upon should be in one lever, and without gap.

Please file it smooth to fit the standard.

1. Dimension in the bracket is as suggestion. Adjust them according to the actual requirement.
2. Regarding the upper two kinds of layout, the installation direction of the multifunction pole
and the traffic flow light is the same.
3.The decoration’ thickness on the concrete ground should not be more than 55MM.

 Step and comb adjustment

Note:
1 . Run the escalator in inspect ion speed to adjust steps, observe the state of steps.
The center of groove and teeth of each other should be in line , the tolerance
should be less than 1 mm, otherwise, run the elevator to right position of lower
landing, and readjust . Repetition above steps, until all the tolerance less than
1 mm between steps.
2.Examine the center of comb and teeth groove of tread. If not coincide, Comb
Plate can be pushed gently towards left or right to ensure that the center
superposition between comb and teeth groove of tread.
