Code of Ethics

As a future educator, my personal code of ethics is the duty I have to my future students to help

them become members of society. Members that make a difference. Members that speak up and

speak out for those who can’t. Members that recognize when our communities, and its people,

need help. Members that are courageous in all aspects of life. As an educator I believe it is my

responsibility to lead students to having a deep understanding that every one of them can make a

difference in their communities and beyond. As an educator, I will empower students to use their

voice. Students are the future leaders of this country. They need to understand that their voice

matters and that they can make a difference. I will respect students so that they feel comfortable

learning in my classroom. Students cannot begin to learn in a classroom until they feel

comfortable in a classroom with the teacher and their peers. I will come to school every day and

look at the day as a fresh start. My mistakes and my students mistakes will be put in the past.

Every day is an opportunity for myself and my students to do better than yesterday. I will

encourage students, so that they can become the best version of themselves. Students need

someone on their team so they can grow and evolve. I will continue to learn from others, so that I

can be the best version of myself for my students. Just as the students will learn from me, I hope

to learn from my students with each new year. Educators have a unique power to impact students

lives, but with great power comes great responsibility.
