UNIT 1: HOURS AND SCHOOL MATERIALS

UNIT 2. SPORTS
My main aim in this formative unit is to consolidate and revise
contents studied during the previous academic year. Besides, since
this unit deals with sports, I think it is essential to teach students the
benefits of exercising in order to stay healthy since we live in an era
in which people spend many time in front of the TV. In addition, this
unit also integrates sociocultural elements related to the Highland
games for students to appreciate other cultures and manifestations.
UNIT 3. FOOD
My main aim in this formative unit is to consolidate and revise
contents studied during the previous academic year. Besides, since
this unit deals with vocabulary related to food, I consider
fundamental to make students realize the importance of adopting a
balanced diet considering that we live in an era in which fast food
dominates people´s lives. In addition, this unit also integrates
sociocultural elements related to traditional customs in the UK for
students to appreciate other ways of life.
UNIT 4. BODY PARTS
My main aim in this formative unit is to consolidate and revise
contents studied during the previous academic year. Besides, since
this unit deals with vocabulary related to body parts, I consider
fundamental to make students appreciate own´s image and
accepting and showing respect to that of the others. In addition, this
unit also integrates sociocultural elements related to American
music for students to appreciate other cultures and manifestations.
UNIT 5. ANIMALS
My main aim in this formative unit is to consolidate and revise
contents studied during the previous academic year. Besides, since
this unit deals with vocabulary related to animals, I consider
fundamental to make students aware of the importance of
respecting animals as living things in our planet. In addition, this unit
also integrates sociocultural elements related to zoos in the UK for
students to appreciate other cultures and manifestations.
UNIT 6. SHOPS
My main aim in this formative unit is to consolidate and revise
contents studied during the previous academic year. Besides, since
this unit deals with vocabulary related to shops, I consider
fundamental to make students appreciate the town where they live
as well as to show respect towards other people . In addition, this
unit also integrates sociocultural elements related to literature and
popular authors in the UK for students to appreciate other cultures
and manifestations.
UNIT 7. NEW TECHNOLOGIES
My main aim in this formative unit is to consolidate and revise
contents studied during the previous academic year. Besides, since
this unit deals with vocabulary related to new technologies, I
consider fundamental to make students appreciate the digital era in
which we live and keep up with the advances of our new society by
getting to know about the differente technological devices we have.
In addition, this unit also integrates sociocultural elements related to
New Zealand´s culture for students to appreciate other cultures and
manifestations.
