king without a crown,

playing second-fiddle to the name of a

queen,

speak softly like a fairy tale,

the battle of good and evil,

your laughter becoming a magical spell,

dispel the horrors of a cold night

and whilst darkness works it's way for now,

your happy ending will come.

 heart so big it can hold us all,

sending love across wide blue oceans,

blowing kisses at airplanes,

so that they carry for miles and miles,

finding us as we smile,

and send postcard kisses back to you

in love with the crinkle of her smile,

or the glint of her eyes,

the fall of her hair and the melody of her laugh,

you fall so deeply,

full to the brim with love and love

and love,

and giving so much to those who don't know,

but one day she will look back at you,

and fall in love with you too.

 a ray of sunlight,

warm golden beam,

push between curtains to lie diagonal on the floor,

sounding like bird song,

and flowers as they dance,

you softly sing,

and the world is right again.

sew myth into your sentences,

thread legend into your hair,

golden boy standing tall as trees,

as the forest whispers your true
name,

shout loud to mask the vodka burn,

shout loud to make yourself heard,

creativity spilling from lips kissing anarchism,

folding structures of society,

tearing power beyond the patriarchs.

golden strings guide you here,

tie us to one another,

a web of belonging,

tugging each other ever closer,

you follow each thread to a new home,

a new heart,

a new smile,

a new set of arms to hold you tight,

a quiet place to rest,

someone who loves your laughter,

and echoes it back to you.

warm hugs in your smile,

tasting "caring" on your tongue like alcohol aftertaste,

but pressure on yourself to be better,

pressure pushing down to make yourself diamond,

just breathe,

for a moment,

let love wash over you,

you are already more precious than you think.

 wild-eyed boy finding refuge,

in between the frets of your guitar,
