Course Objectives: This course aims at acquainting the students about the various fundamentals of drafting to develop the skills of pleading and conveyancing.
It provides an insight into the functions and objectives of pleadings and suggests tools to help approach the task of drafting pleadings. The course contents of
this study material have been so designed as to provide practical orientation and develop necessary acumen ship in drafting legal documents. The object is to
present substantive law in the context of pleadings and conveyancing and to show how those transactions are influenced by the legal considerations. A well
drafted document instantly attracts the attention of the court. Any failure however little, in bringing out the material issues would be fatal to the matter under
consideration.
Pre-requisites:
The students should have the knowledge of Code of Civil Procedure and Code of Criminal Procedure.
Continuous updation in terms of substantive and procedural laws as well as latest judicial pronouncements is desirable.
Student must be aware about various remedies available in civil and criminal law.
