1. Who you observed.

Stefan Ciosici

2. Best thing that you observed.

Stefan has great classroom management skills. This is easily observable as he is calling their
names and they immediately have something to contribute to the classroom discussion. Every
student is engaged in the lesson and has Canvas pulled up. The content being delivered seems
important to the students as their pencils are busy taking notes and there are no sidebar
conversations going on.

3. Recommendations, if any

Have students come up to the board to showcase their skills and allow another voice to deliver
curriculum.

4. Words of encouragement

Yesterday we discussed changing standards and expectations. Your class is such a wonderful
example of students being held to high standards. I see rigor and even though the students
don’t necessarily seem visibly enthused, they all show a level of respect and importance to
what is being taught. If you can’t see this, come observe a 6th grade classroom and compare 

5. Misc.

I can’t believe I’ve never sat in on your classroom before. You are a wonderful teacher and so
glad to be a part of the math team!
