Level 1

Last week, our school celebrated National Day. We held a Malaysian flag.
The headmaster gave a speech. We sang the school song. We went to the hall.
There was a drama and Malay dance. The pupils went to the canteen. We had free
food on that day. We went home happily.

Level 2

Last Monday, Sekolah Kebangsaan Sri Suria celebrated National Day. All the
pupils and teachers were at the assembly. They waved the Malaysian flags and sang
the national song.

The headmaster gave a speech. All pupils listened to him. Then, they sang
the school song together. After the speech they went to the hall. There was a drama
performance by year 6 pupils. Year 5 pupils presented a Malay dance.

Later, the pupils went to the canteen. There was plenty of food. They had
free food for that day. Then, they went home happily.
Level 3
Last Friday, Sakinah’s school celebrated National Day. The pupils and
teachers gathered at the assembly. Everyone had a Malaysian flag in their hands.
They waved the flag after they had sung the national anthem ‘Negaraku’. Then, they
sang the school song. After that, the headmaster gave a speech.

After the speech, the pupils went to the hall. The pupils sat on the chairs in
front of the stage while the teachers sat behind. There was a drama performance by
the year 6 pupils. Then, the year 5 pupils did a Malay dance. The teachers also came
up on the stage. Puan Rosmah and Puan Yati sang a song together.

Later, the pupils went to the canteen. There was a lot of food on the table.
The pupils had free food that day. They ate with the teachers and their classmates.
They had a lot of fun. At 1 p.m. they went home happily.
Festivals : National Day Parade

Level 1

Kevin and his family went to Dataran Merdeka. It was the National Day
celebrations. They were very excited. They watched a parade. The people waved
their flags. They watched an air show. They cheered. The air show was interesting.
They were so excited.

Level 2

Kevin and his family went early to Dataran Merdeka to see the national Day
celebrations. The place was crowded with people. Kevin was very excited.
They watched the National Day parade. The people waved their flags as the
parade passed by. They were so excited to watch the air show. It was very
interesting to see the aeroplanes flew over.
Level 3

Last Saturday, Kevin and his family woke up early in the morning. They
decided to go to the Dataran Merdeka to watch the National Day celebration. The
place was crowded with people of all ages. Kevin and his family were very excited.
The celebration began with the hoisting of the Jalur Gemilang flag. Everyone
showed their respect and stood at attention when the national anthem was sung by
the group of choir. The parade started with a march by a troop of soldiers.
Schoolchildren and other uniformed bodies marched past in attractive uniforms.
Everyone cheered with joy and clapped their hands as the parade passed by. They
enjoyed watching the colourful parade.
The highlight of the parade was a spectacular air show by the Royal
Malaysian Air Force. The show was very fascinating and everyone cheered at the
stunts. Kevin had a good time there. He was very happy and proud to be a Malaysian
citizen.
