Letter of Recommendation for

Eric Michals

May 9, 2019

Dear Sir or Madam,

It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Eric Michals. He was a student teacher in my
classroom during my 1B Life Science class from March 5, 2019 to May 3, 2019. I was delighted to serve as his
cooperating teacher during his internship at Great Neck Middle School. During his time in in my classroom, I
watched him grow from an observer to a confident educator that was comfortable teaching and working with
7th grade students.

Mr. Michals is a very responsible individual. He showed up on time and dressed professionally. He was a very
organized intern with great time management skills. Although I know he was juggling a difficult class load and
soccer schedule, he presented his materials to me ahead of time and communicated effectively about
deadlines and expectations. Mr. Michals was well loved by my students. They looked forward to the days that
he was going to be in the classroom. He has a kind demeanor which made him approachable and accessible.
They described him as knowledgeable, helpful, and funny.

Mr. Michals planned and executed a very engaging lesson during our unit on classification. His lesson plan
was well thought out from beginning to end. He really got to know my students, and discovered that they had a
competitive nature. His lesson incorporated a friendly competition, which resulted in total engagement from my
students. He brought high quality materials for them to work with, and streamlined into transformational
learning with a digital game and assessment. He was very receptive to feedback, and adjusted in a positive
manner.

I am confident that Mr. Michals will succeed at all of his future endeavors. He is quick on his feet, intelligent,
perceptive, and thoughtful. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions about his character or ability to
work in a classroom.

Sincerely,

Lisa McKee
7th Grade Math/Science Teacher
