 Most of the book use short sentences and short paragraph. The writer uses a language
that can very easy for children to understand and a variable of words. the book talks
about the animals of the jungle and give them information about each animal that is
listed on the book.

1. PLOT: summarize the major events in the story-

 There is a rumble in the jungle all the animals are waking up, some animals are
frightening and some are sweet and kind. It takes a journey inside the jungle. The
 chimpanzee swing through the trees. The lion is the king of the jungle, who quite sits
on his paws and everyone quivers and shiver when he opens his jaws. The elephant is
big and fat and round. The zebras got stripe, which his friend like and make him look
handsome and cool. The snake, the boa who squashes then swallows his prey. He is not
very friendly or kind. The Giraffe, some animals laugh at the gangly giraffe, but she
holds her head up and feel proud getting kissed by a cloud. The Hippopotamus, he is
big and sleep in the sun and when he is not sleeping, he mooches in the mud,
something that hippos like doing a lot. Crocodile, when come to the river to drink, he
watches for a minute or two and behold such a sight and he can’t resist chomping a
few. The Rhinoceros is big, strong and rough, he skin is all baggy and flappy. Which
mean that there’s plenty room for his lunch that make him terrible happy. Gazelle no
one can run half as quickly as him, the galloping, gorgeous gazelle, can leap up so high
and his horns touch the sky. The gorilla is big, black and hairy, he looks all ferocious
and scary wallop his giant great chest. If you meet a leopard through the night make
sure to call him sir and be incredibly polite. Be aware of the terrible tiger you don’t
always know when he is near, but his eyes shine like lights in the night. His growl
makes you tremble with fear. The night has started fulling but the jungle never sleeps.

2. SETTING – Explain the place and time of the book.

Line: It uses straight and vertical lines for the tree and also solid lines. Little broken horizontal
lines. Curve line for the mouth of animals.
Shapes: Circle for the sun and the center of the flower. Squares for the teeth and noise of the
animals.
Color: Light blue, light and dark green, purple, pink, black, yellow, orange, white, dark blue,
dark and light brown.
Texture: The texture is a combination of soft and chunky texture.

Explain how illustration and text are combined to tell the story. What do illustrations
show that text does not explain?
 The text gives a brief introduction to the jungle. The text does not talk about ants and
the picture shows a line of ants marching from their home to the grass. The animals are
hide between the tree in the jungle some of the animals that are not listed in text are
presented on the picture.
Page design: Summarize the following: placement of illustrations and text; the use of
borders and white/dark space; are both pages designed the same or differently?
 The text is place in one page only, in the center of the page. The same illustration
covers both pages. It does not have boarders. The white is uses only for the clouds,
flower, teeth and for the zebra. The dark space is use between the trees.
