Stephen, the first Christian Martyr

THE GOOD NEWS AND
PERFORM MIRACLES
FROM goD.
 Men were bribed by
Jewish leaders to say
false things about
Stephen.

This would have made

Stephen feel upset.

Stephen was bought

before the Council to
answer questions about
what he was doing.

Stephen was being lied

about, that would have
made him disappointed.
Other Men were bribed
to lie about Stephen and
his works.

Stephen would have felt

strengthened by the
power of the Holy Spirit.

i HAVE HAD A
VISION!

Stephen was not afraid

to speak out about
Jesus.
 mY VISION IS
OF JESUS THE
SON OF gOD IN
HEAVEN.

i HAVE BEEN CHOSEN AS

ONE OF SEVEN
DISCIPLES TO
MINISTER TO YOU.
The members of the
council were furious.
They threw Stephen
out of the town.

This would have made

Stephen feel betrayed
by those who lied
about him and his
work.

Stephen was to be
stoned to death. As he
was, he forgave those
who were throwing
the stones.

Stephen felt
strengthened by the
Holy Spirit to forgive
those who had done
wrong.
Stephen became
the first
Christian
Martyr.
