The role of education for the betterment of the society cannot be

neglected. In order for the school to function effectively for the student’s
welfare, it is important for both teachers and parents come together. This is well
achieved by the Parent Teacher Association in the school. The importance of
the PTA cannot be given a deaf ear. This association actually plays a prominent
role in the school. The main aim of the PTA is to enhance and improve the
students learning experiences. It does not take much time to start with the PTA
association.

Last June 22, 2018 3:30 in the afternoon, we had our General assembly.
This was held at the covered court at San Fernando South Central Integrated
School. PTA officers both Elementary and High School presented the financial
report about the expenses of their projects. Afterwards, Ma’am Brenda A.
Sabado discussed about the rules and regulation in the school like waring of
proper uniform, informing about the consequences of late comers and
absenteeism, and the importance of PTA Classroom/School.

After the meeting, parents and advisers were advice to go to their

respective classroom to elect their officers and discuss some matters for the
improvement of the classroom and learning environment of the students. They
agreed upon the payment contribution of each student to buy some materials
needed inside the classroom. Some parents also volunteer to donate electric
fans and cleaning materials. After that, all PTA Classroom Officers were asked to
proceed to the covered court for the election of PTA officers in the school.

For a school to function better it is important for teacher and parents

come together. A parent surely wants to know everything is going on well in the
school including the teachers and school management. The overall aim of the
PTA meeting is to ensure the school offers the best learning experience for the
students keeping in mind their needs.
