Dear Reader,   

My name is Alaysia Gutierrez and I go to Concord High School. I run Cross 

Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track. In my portfolio you will get to read 
my resume and cover letter. You will get to see my personal and goals 
statements and see my career profile, which all show my plans, goals, and 
accomplishments. Next you’ll get to read some writing pieces that I am proud 
of and did within my highschool years. 

Each piece that I added in my portfolio tells about myself or shows my work 
ethic. When doing these pieces, I learned many things. One thing I learned was 
how bad I actually was as a writer and also how much I liked writing. As I 
grew older I started getting better at writing and learned a lot of tricks to 
help improve my work.  

Creating this portfolio has helped me see how much i’ve done and learned in my 
four years of highschool and has let me see all the hard work I have put into 
each piece. In the real world this will help me write papers in college and 
work if I need to. As you look at my portfolio, I hope you get to know a 
little more about me and see how hard working I am. Thank you for taking the 
time to look through and read my portfolio pieces.
