Dear Prof.

Nguyen, Duc Hoang

I currently have an opening for graduate students for Master`s degree (2 positions),
Doctor`s degree (2 positions), and was hoping that you could help pass the word on
to potential candidates who are highly motivated and have an interest in working on
Microbiology, Microbial Pathogenesis, and Antibiotic Resistance research.

We are particularly interested in understanding the antibiotic resistance in major

human pathogens including Staphylococcus aureus, Acinetobacter baumannii, and
Mycobacteria. In addition, we are pursuing questions related to understanding how
bacterial energy metabolism affect bacterial infection and treatment outcome and
pursuing novel antimicrobial compounds that have novel mechanism of action. To
this end, we will apply multidisciplinary approaches including Genomics with Next
Generation Sequencing, Metabolomics, Metabolic Flux Analysis and Machine
Learning approaches.

Information about our institute can be found here:

https://skb.skku.edu/eng_pharm/index.do

I have flexibility in terms of a time frame for starting, so we can discuss the time
frame. If you could please pass the word on to students who may be looking for a
graduate program, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks very much, and I hope all is going well with you!

Best regards,

Wonsik Lee
