To Whom It May Concern:

I have had the pleasure to have Esabell Cuevas as a student for the last two years in my
Health and Family Living class at Merced High. I have known her since August 2017. Esabell
engages in class discussion and reflects on the learning process. She has been recognized
this year for her focus on academics and personal efforts to bring her grades up. She plans to
pursue a degree in Human Services with a career goal of being a social worker. She is a first
generation college student.

Esabell is resilient and cooperative and she shows perseverance. Her motivation and sense of
humor have helped her reach her goals thus far and will continue to guide her in her pursuit of
