Tell me about yourself

I’m a very energetic person and a good communicator. I’ve been working in healthcare
for the past two years and this has helped me build my confidence and taught me the
importance of very good patient care,
2. Where did you study before?

3. Are you comfortable working with other doctors and nurses?

I find I work well under a variety of conditions and circumstances and I take pride in
my flexibility. I really enjoy working in a team because I often find that different
viewpoints can help me find solutions to a problem I might not think of on my own. I
also enjoy self-motivating and am equally comfortable working alone.
4. Why are you the best nursing candidate for this position?
I’ve been working as a Registered Nurse for the past eight years and loved every day
of it. This is more than a job, it’s a passion, and I’ve used that passion to drive me
forward. I enjoy the challenges that come with this job and take every opportunity to
learn and grow.
5. How do you handle stress on the unit?
By focusing on the care of my patients. I feel I owe it to them to stay calm and focused.
I have worked in ER where very stressful situations arise quite frequently. I always call
on my training and experience to handle anything that comes up in a clam and
constructed manner.
6. What’s your strongest skill as a nurse?
My strongest skill is patient education. It can soften fears and improve outcomes. One
patient was unable to reduce his blood pressure following a heart attack. I was tasked
with helping educate him about diet and exercise. I sourced some video case studies
about patients just like him who’d changed their routines. Three months later he wrote
me a letter. His blood pressure and lipid profile were all down into a normal range.
