According to Albert Einstein, ‘Not everything that can be counted counts and not everything that

counts can be counted’. We live in an age of bigger and bigger data, and businesses need ways to
sift through it all, to figure out which combinations of data count and which ones do not. The
success of any organization in today’s global economy depends on business analytics.

Taking a look at all the global businesses in the world today, most of them enhance customer
behaviors and working efficiency by the analysis of big data. All these notions and the
recognition to the world’s development trend has inspired me to pursue a postgraduate degree in
Business Analytics.

I believe my good academic foundation has prepared me for this noble endeavor. My analytical
ability was further strengthened when I worked as an Accounts/Computer officer during my one
year compulsory service to my country. Also, having graduated with a degree in Economics has
enabled me solve various problems through a systematic and analytical approach. By Studying
Masters of Business Analytics, I yearn to learn beyond prescriptive analysis to further develop
the understanding on consumer behaviors, and further set my eyes on predictive analysis and
modeling, benefiting from uncovering data patterns of the past that points an hint to the future.

My current IELTS score of 7.0 shows that I have an operational command of the language and
that I can handle complex language well and understand detailed reasoning.

In my spare time, one of my many passions is photography. I enjoy taking pictures of buildings
and nature. I have a documentary photography series titled ‘Ibadan through lens’ which i am
using to change people’s perspective and views about my city, Ibadan in Nigeria. I also enjoy
travelling and visiting new places.

The foundations to succeed in any field are dedication, hard work and patience; one must also
possess solid common sense and be able to think logically because everything has a set order,
method and rules. I believe that I will prove to be a dedicated, motivated, hardworking and
ambitious student to study Master of Business Analytics at your prestigious Western Sydney
University.
