Peter and the Wolf

Peter was a young boy who lived (live) in a small village. He had no family
but he had lots of friends. The people of the village asked (ask) Peter to take their
sheep to the mountain.
So, early in the morning he walked (walk) up the mountain with lots of sheep
around him.
During the day he looked (look) after the sheep, counted (count) them,
played (play) his flute, climbed (climb) up the trees and he talked (talk) to the
sheep but they didn’t answer (not / answer) him, of course. So, he was very lonely
up there in the mountain.
One day he decided (decide) to play a trick on the people of the village.
He cried (cry) loudly for help: “Wolf, wolf, please help me!”.
Some men and women appeared (appear) in the street and walked (walk)
quickly to help Peter. But when they arrived (arrive) there, there was no wolf at all.
Peter laughed (laugh) and laughed (laugh) at them but they didn’t laugh (not /
laugh) because they weren’t very pleased with him. And they returned (return)
home.

 Some days later when Peter was in the mountains a real wolf appeared
(appear) and attacked (attack) his sheep. The boy tried (try) to fight the wolf but it
was too dangerous. So Peter cried (cry) loudly for help: “Wolf, wolf, please help
me!”. But this time people didn’t answer (not / answer). The people of the village
stayed (stay) at home because they didn’t believe (not / believe) in Peter
anymore.
Poor Peter, People didn’t help (not / help) him and he had to run to the
village for help!
