FATHER, SON OR HORSE?

INCE

A farmer with his son decides to take his horse to town to transport his purchases. They leave in
the morning the horse without load and they on foot.

KNOT

On the way they run into some men who returned from the town, they criticize him about who
should go on horseback, who walking or who freed.

OUTCOME

Father and son arrive at the market, then, with the horse on their shoulders but, despite this,
many criticize it.

MORALEJA

Many people can criticize us in the activities or projects we do, however we should not let
ourselves be carried away by their comments or be susceptible. Many will give us baseless
comments for envy and not because we really care.

2. TITLE

THE LITTLE THIEF

INCE

A thief enters a man's house, goes to the window to hear if someone is awake. Realizing this, the
owner of the house says in a low voice to his wife: _ ask me where the enormous wealth that I
own comes from.

KNOT

The owner of the house says: _ First I go up to a roof, then I take a tail of moon and then I repeat
seven times the magic word SAULEM_ The woman thanks him for revealing the secret. He assures
you not to disclose it to someone. The man to pretend everything starts to snore.
OUTCOME

The rich man waits a moment then asks what happened. The silly thief who by his deceitful words
takes them seriously; a silly thief who puts them into practice, in the end accepts that he is a poor
idiot.

MORALEJA

When it is done with bad intentions we can pay consequences that will harm us a lot. Not
everything that seems easy means that it is.

3. TITLE

ANOTHER MATHEMATICAL FAILURE: DIFFERENTIAL CALCULUS

INCE

A man buys at the fair four precious donkeys.

KNOT

On the way back there are only three donkeys; He forgets to count what he rides. When he gets
home he tells his wife that he bought four and there are only three.

OUTCOME

His wife looks at him in amazement and replies: _ How strange! You do not see more than three,
but I see five.

MORALEJA

Sometimes, the simplest can seem so complicated. Many times we only see and interpret what is
around us and not the place we occupy or how our behavior is.

4. TITLE

THE SLAVERY SLAVE

INCE

One night the master orders the door to be closed to his slave. But since the slave is lazy, he does
not want to get up and replies that the door is closed.

KNOT

The slave spends all the morning and the whole afternoon lying in his bed. The master asks if it is
raining, but does not get up, but calls the dog that is out of the house, touches the legs to see if
they are dry.

OUTCOME

At night the master asks if there is fire in the home. The slave calls the cat and touches the skin to
see if it is hot or not, as you can see that it is cold, there is no fire.

MORALEJA

We should not always look for easiness because it makes us conformist. However the actions of
this lazy slave are so intelligent and for them we must rescue that to get something you do not
always have to do something complicated, but remember that this easy way should not affect the
rights of other people.

5. TITLE

FRIENDS UNTIL DEATH

INCE

Two greedy friends find a sack full of gold near the road. The sack weighs too much, they only
manage to push it aside on the side of the road.

KNOT

One of them goes to the city in search of an ass, the other remains; both plan the death of the
other to keep the bag of gold.

OUTCOME
When the friends are together again, one of them attacks the other with a knife, and after
starvation, they eat the bread with poison. Both fall dead.

MORALEJA

We should not seek riches by attacking the rights and lives of others. We must be honest and not
greedy, because we can attempt against our own life.

6. TITLE

EL AVARO BREAKS HIS SACK ...

INCE

One day Don Luis feels so sick that he says to his wife: "María, I'm going to have to stay in bed. I
feel too weak But who is going to take care of my business?

KNOT

The spouses for not spending money make bad decisions and Luis gets sick much more than he
was in the beginning. Despite the doctor's recommendations, the wife prefers to save money.

OUTCOME

The doctor tells the woman that she should give a glass of wine to her husband every two hours,
she says it is very expensive. Don Luis is surprised by the price of wine, nine pesetas, while he
drops his head, that's how he dies

MORALEJA

We should not prefer money or riches more than our health, with that we do not play. We can buy
many goods and buy them, but health is not bought. Life is something so valuable that we must
take care of it and value it as best we can.

7. TITLE

THE GITANA CURSE

INCE
A gypsy borrows twenty pesetas from the very cheap Don Pablo. When receiving the refusal, the
very angry gypsy, exclaims: _ That you live a thousand years!

KNOT

Don Pablo thanks him but does not realize that he has just received a horrible gypsy curse. A
thousand years accumulating riches without object, suffering anxiety, and continuously with the
fear of losing them!

OUTCOME

The gypsy knows that a similar existence is a true martyrdom, that curse is terrible.

MORALEJA

As much as they treat us badly or are selfish with us we should not curse someone or seek
revenge, it is pleasant to forgive and not to have grudges, we can all make mistakes, rather we
should help that someone to improve their attitudes.

8. TITLE

EXISTENTIAL PHILOSOPHY

INCE

A good man has a burrito and always puts it to work his land, he also has a little pig that never
works and eats well.

KNOT

The burrito meditates on this and pretends to be sick so that they can take care of it like the little
pig. When his owners see him sick, they treat him with great affection. The burrito eats more and
more and better and fattens more and more.

OUTCOME

The day of San Martin finally arrives, the owner kills the little pig for the party. The burrito, very
scared, thinks that now they are going to do the same with him, so he leaves the barn willing to
work more but to be alive.
MORALEJA

Maybe we want other people's positions or assets, but by going in search of them we can neglect
our position and not value what we have. When you lose or you have far away what you had,
there you do, value and take care of what you have.

9. TITLE

GREEN GRAPES

INCE

A fox contemplates the ripe grapes of a beautiful grapevine.

KNOT

The fox takes several jumps to eat the grapes but does not reach them.

OUTCOME

When you do not get them, you say to console yourself. I do not want these grapes. They're green!

MORALEJA

When we want to get or get something, we should not give up until it is necessary. One should not
deceive oneself.

10. TITLE

THE PEDAGOGICAL PARROT

INCE

In the southern part of the Mexican Republic, and in the foothills of the Sierra Madre. Don Lucas
lived in a village, a person very dear to all. He was a teacher who was already tired of the
monotony of classes he gave, a repetitive class.

KNOT
Don Lucas had a parrot that was his weakness and he was always on a perch at the door of the
school, that parrot and Don Lucas understood each other perfectly. Rarely did the parrot mix the
words that Don Lucas had taught him with the songs of the boys. Several years passed, and of
course Don Lucas came to have confidence in his "Parakeet", which did not cut his wings or put on
his breeches.

However one morning the parrot flew into the forest, the teacher with the help of his students
looked for him in the forest, but they could not distinguish it.

OUTCOME

Several months passed, and Don Lucas, who had already forgotten the ingratitude of the parakeet,
had to make a trip to the neighboring villages. When Lucas was advancing on horseback, he
thought he heard the singing of the school children in the distance. He stopped in amazement and
a little fearful when he saw a flock of flying parrots singing ba, be, bi, bo, bu, la, li, li, lo, lu. Since
then many parrots have moved away from ignorance.

MORALEJA

The work of a teacher is really a sacrifice, which must be done by love seeking continuous
improvement, where a better future is sought for other people. We must value the work of a
teacher and follow the good example that they can give us.
