Dark Matter Generator

EDIT
Use:
For Taking Down Fast-Moving Entities

The Dark Matter Generator collects invisible Dark Matter particles and projects them through the Neutrona Wand, either
in high-damage shotgun-like blasts to quickly disperse entities, or as a condensed order-reversing beam to slow or even
paralyze spectral entities for easier capture.

The Dark Matter Generator

The most advanced piece of technology that the Ghostbusters ever made. Piece of art, marvel of technology and science.
The Dark Matter Generator creates exotic particles, these "Dark Matter" particles that are both natural, but yet alien to our
universe, thus with our limited knowledge makes them highly unstable and dangerous to use. But its unique properties
makes it one of the best ways to fight ghosts, and maybe one day it can be used to destroy them for good.
In reality, Dark Matter comprises close to 23% of the observable universe's matter-energy content, and is invisible to
emitted or scattered electromagnetic energy. However, its effects can be studied through its gravitational effects on mass
around it. Most dark matter is non-baryonic, meaning it contains no atoms and does not interact with conventional matter
through electromagnetic force. Comprised of neutrinos and hypothetical elements like axions and super-symmetric
particles, dark matter can pass through conventional matter with little effect.
Dark matter absorbs energy from the spectral entities it's exposed to by way of the weak nuclear force, stripping away
their PK Energy by reacting with it. In the case of the Stasis Stream, such a reaction causes their physical component
(ectoplasm) to temporarily crystallize, slowing or 'freezing' a PK Entity altogether.

Shock Blast

The Shock Blast expels a conical pattern of stripped Dark Matter particles that diffuse
quickly in atmosphere. It is very powerful at close range but less accurate and less potent the
further you are from your target. It works well on inbound ghosts, vapor swarms, or near-
proximity entities. In essence, the Shock Blast is comparable to a shotgun, dealing extreme
damage at close proximity, but rapidly losing its effectiveness over distance. The spread of
dark-matter particles makes the Shock Blast a preferred weapon when dealing with quick-
moving entities such as the Paper Constructs.

Stasis Stream
The Stasis Stream emits a high capacity stream of order-reversing particles that hypobond to ectoplasmic matter causing
crystallization, effectively immobilizing or “freezing” ghosts and other paranormal entities. While this tool won't disperse
any creatures by itself, it effectively "freezes" enemies in their place (or, at the very least, slows them), allowing you to
either get away or to switch to a more powerful device and dish out more damage. The Stasis Stream has nothing to do
with cold, but the end result is similar.
While this device won't disperse any creatures by itself, it effectively "freezes" enemies in their place (or, at the very least,
slows them), allowing you to either get away or to switch to a more powerful tool and dish out more damage.
Plasm Distribution System

Plasma Distribution System

The Plasm Distribution System is the second system to be added and activated as part of Egon Spengler's on-going
experimental equipment field-testing. During the investigation of the 5th Avenue branch of the New York City Public
Library, the Rookie comes across an unavoidable patch of caustic Black Slime, which prompts Dr. Stantz and Dr.
Spengler to activate the Plasm Distribution System. Once the system has been thoroughly field-tested, it is added and
activated on the remaining Proton Pack units.
The Plasm Distribution System
The PDS: Plasm Distribution System, or "The Slime Blower Mk. II" is a heavily modified version of the original Slime
Blowers that were used by the Ghostbusters during the Vigo the Carpathian incident. The Slime Blower plasm banks are
now integrated into the Proton Pack and contains a self-replicating version of the positively-charged Psychomagnotheric
Slime that was used against Vigo the Carpathian. This base culture of ectoplasm developed from materials the
Ghostbusters discovered under New York City in the River of Slime.[1]
The proto-culture is cross-strained with the original material and samples from various other ectoplasmic entities the
Ghostbusters have collected. This lands optimal properties to the final product: a self-regenerating strain of ectoplasm that
can impair entities, cause caustic Black Slime to go inert, and reveal otherwise invisible ethereal structures that reside on
this plane. Ray Stantz tells the Rookie the key reason the system was developed was to seal inter-dimensional portals.[2]
Though the new ectoplasm formula self-replicates, it does occasionally need replenishing when used up too quickly. The
plasm is shunted from the cultivation cylinder to a holding tank, where it is positively-charged and made ready to use.
This positive charge is the key element that allows the 'mood-slime' to counteract negatively-charged paranormal
phenomena.
Slime Blower

The Plasm Distribution System is an integration of the Proton Pack that uses a self-regulating strain of ectoplasm to
impair entities, neutralize caustic black slime, and reveal otherwise invisible structures that reside on the ethereal plane.
With a long range and endless supply of regenerating positively charged slime, the Plasm Distribution System is a great
tool to disperse most corporeal entities. Better still, the depolarizing effect it has on Black Slime makes this the perfect
device to disperse nearly all Black Slime creatures like Black Slime Fiends, Black Slime Ghosts, and Black Slime Portals.

Name: Pink Slime Blower

Desc: Pink slime allows players to quickly neutralize enemy ghosts without harming them. When a player picks up a Pink
Slime power-up, the Slime Blower is immediately selected. The usual green slime is replaced with a pink slime. Ghosts
hit with the Blower changes teams and no longer attacks players. A ghost has to be shot a few times (proportional to its
max health) before it changes teams. Other ghosts will consider the "pinkified" ghost a target, taking their attention off the
Ghostbusters, and damaging the target ghost.
Proton Pack

Proton Pack

The Proton Pack/Realistic Version is an experimental and untested prototype upgrade of the standard Proton Pack, an
unlicensed nuclear accelerator that functions by concentrating protons through the Neutrona Wand; its the Ghostbusters'
main tool against negatively charged ectoplasmic entities.
History
Primary Canon
The Proton Pack was a quantum leap in technology. It was the world's first energy-based weapon and the first and primary
Ghostbuster tool against the supernatural, made by Dr. Egon Spengler and Dr. Ray Stantz in 1984.
By Thanksgiving weekend in 1991, Egon Spengler and Ray Stantz completed the experimental Proton Pack with upgrades
and secondary systems designed to enable them to be more flexible in the field and more effective against ghosts and
other types of paranormal entities. These add-ons and upgrades include the redesigned Slime Blower, the
powerful Composite Particle System and the experimental Dark Matter Generator. The Plasm Distribution System's plasm
banks were integrated into the pack.[2] In addition, a new safety feature was integrated to the Proton Packs. When in use,
the feature kept the Ghostbusters from accidentally crossing the streams. Protonic Feedback occurs and only causes the
Ghostbusters involved to be knocked down by the backlash and suffer a bit of bodily harm. The safety can be turned off,
allowing the packs to cross the streams in case of an emergency.
Settings/Uses
The settings below are for the Proton Pack. As cases unfolded, Egon and Ray added and/or activated secondary systems to
the Proton Pack, further increasing its effectiveness against more persistent and varied supernatural entities.
Blast Stream

Using the Proton Pack's particle accelerator, the Neutrona Wand releases a concentrated stream of protons that fluctuates
as it reaches a paranormal entity. The fluctuations of the Blast Stream tend to cause extensive property damage.
Upgrades

Name: Blast Stream Focusing

Category: Proton
Upgrade: Reduces Beam Wandering
Desc: Utilizing a series of charged nucleon jackets, the Blast Stream Focuser increases the proton stream's stability,
greatly reducing the amount of beam perturbation or 'wander'.
This increases your Proton Pack's accuracy.

Name: Blast Stream Recoil Decrease

Category: Proton
Upgrade: Removes Movement Restrictions
Desc: Increasing the pack's number of nucleon jackets as well as adding a second proton buffer reduces the Proton
Stream's negative energy kick back allowing the user to move more quickly while firing his weapons. Note: Smoking
emitter coils are considered normal and should not cause concern.
This upgrade increases your mobility while firing the Proton Stream, allowing you to chase creatures on the move while
maintaining maximum accuracy.
Boson Darts

Boson Darts are super de-polarized bursts of extremely volatile, but very effective, boson particles. Boson particles
quickly overheat the Proton pack so sparse usage is recommended. Accidental Neutrona Wand blockage could vaporize
the surrounding 3 square miles.
Boson Darts are extremely effective bursts of protons that can quickly disperse big chunks of a target's PK energy. While
this tool can be used in conjunction with the Proton Stream for a powerful one-two punch, the Boson Dart can also be
used by itself to knock large enemies back or to disperse groups of smaller enemies. Use Boson Darts against small packs
of creatures to inflict damage over a wider range or to blow off chunks of PK energy from moderately sized targets.
Effectively, Boson Darts behave like a grenade or rocket launcher: a slow-moving projectile which detonates on impact,
dealing intense damage to anything in its immediate proximity. This applies to the corporeal and incorporeal alike. Boson
Darts are effective for taking out groups of low-level manifestations with minimal effort, and can deal severe damage to
more violent P.K.E. phenomena.
The Boson Dart was activated for the Rookie during the chase through Times Square, partly because of Egon's on-going
field testing, but mostly in response to the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and his lesser manifestations, the Marshmallow
Minis. The Boson Dart was integral to the eventual defeat of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Afterwards, the Boson
Darts were added to the remaining Proton Packs, and the other Ghostbusters used them whenever they deem it necessary.
Upgrades

Name: Boson Dart Supercharge

Category: Proton
Upgrade: Heat Cost Reduction and Damage Increase
Desc: It has been discovered that the addition of a fermion absorption ring to the Proton Pack's Neutrona Wand
substantially reduces boson particle overheating allowing more Boson Darts to be fired before causing pack shutdown.
Boson Dart impact damage is also increased. Also, accidental Neutrona Wand blockage vaporization damage is reduced
to only 1 mile!
Of all Proton Pack upgrades, this Boson Dart upgrade is the best. Because the Boson Dart is extremely powerful, the
ability to fire more Darts per charging cycle greatly increases your capacity to dish out damage in a short period of time.
The increase in damage output is nice also.

Name: Boson Damage Immunity

Category: Proton
Upgrade: User Damage Reduction
Desc: In addition to the installation of a secondary fermion absorption ring, extensive modifications to the Boson emitter's
integrity field have led to the absorption of close range boson particles. This dramatically reduces the amount of damage
taken by point-blank and close proximity Boson Dart impacts. Please note that these Z-based modifications in no way
compromise the dart's Bose-Einstein statistics!
Because the Boson Dart is the perfect tool to disperse small groups of enemies like Crawlers, you're more likely to use it
at close-range while they swarm around you. This upgrade allows you to more safely disperse Swarmers without the
threat of taking blow-back damage from the Boson Dart's explosion.
Capture Stream

The Capture Stream allows for the containment of ghosts. The Capture Stream can be used to contain Ghosts over a trap
and to manipulate ethereal objects away from specters. Once contained in a Capture Stream, ghosts can be thrown against
walls causing damage or even complete neutronization.
Even though the Capture Stream is an extension of the Proton Stream, it functions differently. After activating the Capture
Stream, the rapidly fluctuating particles steady just enough to capture whatever they've surrounded, essentially creating a
proton "cage" around the target. A pleasant side effect of the particles' steadying is that the Capture Stream is incapable of
overheating your Proton Pack. Once a target is captured in the Stream, you can use it to wrangle the creature as it
struggles to get loose, then slam it around to daze it. The Capture Stream can also be used on inanimate objects to solve
environmental puzzles.
The Neutrona Wand will automatically switch to this setting when needed, but can also be manually-activated to move
physical objects as well. The properties of the proton stream are altered so that the beam will coil and arc around its target,
rather than blast it directly. With the proton stream on this setting, ghosts can be wrangled into a trap, and heavy objects
can be moved out of the way.
The beam can also be 'pulsed' to forcibly bash ghosts against physical objects, further wearing them down. Ray has
eloquently dubbed this technique 'Slamming'.
Dr. Spengler has not developed any upgrades for the Capture Stream.
Ghost Bomb
Ghost Bomb

The Ghost Bomb was a prototype design for eliminating spirits within a
50 yard radius.[1]
History
The Ghost Bomb was a prototype designed by Egon Spengler in the
1980s. Its function was not confinement but the dissemination of all
ectoplasmic matter,[2] thus disintegrating all spirits in a limited radius of
50 yards. At the time, it was incomplete because Egon lacked a sufficient
power source.[3] In the meantime, it was stored in a trunk at the bedside
of Ray Stantz' bed. Annoyed by Slimer, for sleeping in his bed, yet
again Peter tried to scare Slimer with the Ghost Bomb.
Egon planned to use it to create a hyperspatial implosion and seal the Boogieman in his realm. Egon hooked up all
four Proton Packs to the Ghost Bomb to generate enough power.[4][5] On Egon's mark, everyone set their packs to
overload. The bomb exploded, which sealed the Boogieman's portals and made him weak.
In an alternate timeline, Dr. Roland Jackson continued the work of Egon and created design specifications for a Ghost
Bomb. After the Great Ghost War, the last band of rebels rigged a prototype Ghost Bomb based on the specs. When Isaac,
one of the rebels, attempted to disintegrate Tempus with the bomb, it instead split the entity into two beings and created
a Time Slip.[6][7] As a result, Tempus existed in both the past, on July 30, 1997, and the future. Also, Kylie Griffinand
Isaac switched places. Due to knowledge of the Ghostbusters' knowledge of this future, it is unknown to what degree this
timeline will be preserved, thus it is unknown if Roland will still design a new Ghost Bomb.

Polarity Rectification Tripods
Polarity Rectification Tripods
Use:
Fix Polarity Changes

The Polarity Rectification Tripods (also known as Tripod Traps) are electromagnetic devices combined with camera
tripods used to rectify a straight polarity reversal. [1]
Primary Canon History
In late 1989, some kind of major P.K.E. storm blew through Orrefors and affected the silicon molecules in the glass for
sale. As a result, the very expensive glass items floated in mid-air. The Ghostbusters utilized the Polarity Rectification
Tripods to neutralize the psychic disturbance. They set up one tripod in each of the four corners of the main display case.
On Egon Spengler's word, Winston Zeddemore and Ray Stantz threw the switches. The tripods activated and lasers shot
out. They effectively neutralized the glass but they simply came crashing down and shattered into pieces.
Secondary Canon History
In December, Egon Spengler began a more serious investigation of the Red Lightning strikes in New York. To aid in the
collection of data, Egon rigged several Polarity Rectification Tripods, some modified, on the roof of the Firehouse. One of
the tripods was kept on top of one of the lockers in the garage bay.

The Giga Meter is another device created to detect ethereal energies. Specifically, it measures psychomagnotheric energy
in Giga Electron Volts, which are the standard unit of measurement for high-energy physics.

Upper Arm Remote Trigger

Upper Arm Remote Trigger

The Upper Arm Remote Trigger was a device designed to wirelessly release components of other equipment
Holtzmann activated it and the screen read, "Pedal Ready to Activate." After the Ghostbusters wrangled Mayhem from the
concert stage Holtzmann turned off her thrower then threw out the Trap and switched her trigger to "Pedal Activated."
After she swiped the screen, the trigger wirelessly launched the pedal out of the Trap for use. Holtzmann used the trigger
to release her Proton Pistols for use against Times Square Battle Ghosts.
Holtzmann tapped the trigger to release her Proton Pistols on Ellis Island during an overlap of two dimensions. Holtzmann
used a Phillips-Head screwdriver to rig several Traps to open wirelessly by connecting them to her Upper Arm Remote
Trigger. She laid the traps in an area of Woodlawn Cemetery then taunted the Moby Dick Ghost into chasing her. She set
tapped the trigger and trapped the ghost.
