Brief Details of Certificate Course on Wealth Management and Financial Planning

A. General

The Certificate Course on Wealth Management and Financial Planning shall comprise of a
course sessions and a certificate in the appropriate form shall be granted to those who
qualify for the same

The objective of this Course is to equip the members with the principles of Management of
Wealth as well as devising effective Investment Strategy and the practical procedural
aspects and to build the competency level of the members of the Institute to position them
as multidisciplinary financial consultants. This Course is intended at enlightening the
members of the SMP segment & CA Firms.

The emphasis is on developing skill sets which would be required for advising clients to
make sound financial decisions while practicing and serving clients in diverse practice
areas as compliance, taxation etc.

Broad objectives:

 To enable the candidate to have enhanced career opportunities in Financial Services

Investments guidance and wealth management.

 To enable the candidate to have Global league of the best Financial Planning
professionals.

The curriculum includes:

1. Introduction to financial planning

2. Risk Analysis & Insurance Planning
3. Retirement planning & employee benefits
4. Investment planning
5. Tax & estate planning
6. Advanced financial planning and HNI Wealth Management
7. Technical Analysis

The Certificate Course on Wealth Management and Financial Planning shall comprise of a
course sessions and a certificate in the appropriate form shall be granted to those who
qualify for the same.

B. Duration of the Course

Course Sessions: 20 days (only in Saturdays and/or Sundays)

C. Eligibility for Admission

No candidate shall be admitted to the said course unless he/she is a member of the ICAI /
Chartered Accountant at the time of admission.
D. Registration

Joining can be done through payment of prescribed fees - Register through online payment
and sending the hard copy of the duly filled registration form in below given address.

Alternatively, make Demand Draft of Rs. 15,000 in favour of 'The Secretary, The Institute of
Chartered Accountants of India' payable at New Delhi and fill the registration form
downloaded from the Institute’s website and send the same to below given address.

It is suggested that kindly make an on line payment at ICAI website so that registration is
confirmed on the spot.

It may be noted that due to limitation of seats, the registration will be on 'first come first
serve' basis.

E. Overall Scheme

The participants would be required to attend the course sessions on weekends

(Saturday/ Sunday). They would also be required to devote time for self-study.

F. Course Fee

Rs. 15000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only)

G. No. of seats

For every batch - 60. However, the Chairman of the committee has the discretion for waiver
of no. of seats

H. CPE Hours

Appropriate CPE hours will be provided to all the registered members as per the CPE
guidelines

I. Methodology of teaching:

Apart from the comprehensive theoretical aspects, this course will sharpen the expertise
and excellence of our members through case studies. Participants will have to undergo a
test at the end of the course for getting a completion certificate.

J. Faculty

Faculty will be drawn from the practicing fraternity, members and other
academicians from the field who have in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge
in the subject.
The Course is beneficial for all the members of ICAI as an enabling education for the
members to have enhanced career opportunities in Financial Planning and Wealth
Management. Moreover, the Course aims to enhance the competency level and practical
procedural aspects of the members. Committee has no concern for placement in this
regards.
