COMMIT YOURSELF TO SERVE THE LORD: INVITATION

believed on him, If ye continue in my word,
then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye
shall know the truth, and the truth shall
make you free.” John 8:31, 32
“Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be
unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even
so send I you.” John 20:21

Heavenly Father, I know that I have sinned

and need Your forgiveness. I believe that
Your Son the Lord Jesus Christ died for me
on the cross and I am willing to repent and
turn from my sins. I now by faith invite the
Lord Jesus to come into my heart and life
as my personal Saviour and I am willing, by
Your grace, to follow and obey Him as the
Lord of my life. Amen.
 HOW TO KNOW GOD
Step One
RECOGNISE GOD LOVES YOU
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John
3:16
“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee
the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou
hast sent.” John 17:3
“As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you:
continue ye in my love.” John 15:9
Step Two
ADMIT YOU NEED HELP
“And this is the condemnation, that light is come
into the world, and men loved darkness rather
than light, because their deeds were evil.” John
3:19
“I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your
sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die
in your sins.” John 8:24
“He that believeth on him is not condemned:
but he that believeth not is condemned already,
because he hath not believed in the name of the
only begotten Son of God.” John 3:18
Step Three
BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS THE ONLY SAVIOUR
“Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the
sin of the world.” John 1:29
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and
the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by
me.” John 14:6
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting
life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not
see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
John 3:36
Step Four
RECEIVE JESUS AS YOUR OWN SAVIOUR
“But as many as received him, to them gave he
power to become the sons of God, even to them
that believe on his name.” John 1:12
“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall
never perish, neither shall any man pluck them
out of my hand.” John 10:28
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my
word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath
everlasting life, and shall not come into
condemnation; but is passed from death unto
life.” John 5:24
Step Five
ACKNOWLEDGE THAT JESUS IS NOW YOUR
LORD AND FRIEND
“Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command
you.” John 15:14
“And Thomas answered and said unto him, My
Lord and my God.” John 20:28
“Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask,
and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”
John 16:24
Step Six
RECOGNISE YOU NOW BELONG TO
GOD’S FAMILY—THE CHURCH
“Then the same day at evening, being the first
day of the week, when the doors were shut where
the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews,
came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto
them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so
said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side.
Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the
Lord.” John 20:19, 20
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that
abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth
forth much fruit: for without me ye can do
nothing.” John 15:5
