WELLING UP
JOHN 4:14
but whoever drinks the water I
give them will never
thirst. Indeed, the water I give
them will become in them a
spring of water WELLING UP to
eternal life.”
Fountain of Living Water - is one of the
names for God that later found fulfillment in
Jesus (Yeshua).

My people have committed two evils; they

have forsaken ME the Fountain of Living
Waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken
cisterns, that can hold no water.  Jeremiah
2:13
“Fountain,” - water flowing from the
rock
“Cistern,” - a tank for surface water
otherwise known as “pit” or “well”

Apostasy (abandonment/renunciation)
which is referred to – Their “Fountain”
who is “God”

“Cisterns” - The false gods made by men

& living a godless life.
Lord, You are the hope of Israel;
all who forsake You will be put to
shame. Those who turn away from
You will be written in the dust
because they have forsaken the Lord,
the Spring of Living Water. 
Jeremiah 17:13
SPRING UP - To move upward,
to grow,  to start to exist.
WELLING UP - A
container or vessel. 
The filling up of a
container to the
point of overflowing.
BENEFITS OF WELLING UP
Water that rises to the surface as a result
of upwelling is typically colder and is
rich in nutrients.
These nutrients “fertilize” surface
waters.
Surface waters often have high
biological productivity which is a good
fishing grounds.

1. Rich Nutrients – Healthy, Salt & Light,
Agent of change, A Blessing.
But one who looks intently at the perfect
law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not
having become a forgetful hearer but an
effectual doer, this man will be blessed in
what he does. James 1:25

2. High Productivity – Meaning of Life,
Awareness of Purpose & Confident in Life.
 Psalm 57:2 says, “I cry out to God Most
High, to God who fulfills his purpose for
me.” This is key in understanding God's
purpose for your life. God has numbered
your days and will fulfill every purpose He
has for you.

3. Good Fishing Ground – Fisher’s of
Men, Followers of Jesus Christ.

And He said to them, “Follow Me, and

I will make you fishers of men.”
Matthew 4:19
 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and
believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not
come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. (John
5:24)
